A brief teaser for Titans has surfaced online, confirming that just like the reveal of Jason Todd's Red Hood costume, the live-action DC TV show will soon be revealing a more comic accurate look for Anna Diop's Starfire.
In addition, Titans concept artist Gina DeDomenico and Specialty Costume Designer Laura Jean Shannon has also been teasing Starfire's reveal on social media, taking to Instagram to release "puzzle pieces" of Koriand'r's redesigned look.
As you can tell from the concept art teasers above, Starfire will definitely be sporting a look that's closer to what the Tamaranian princess wears in the comics.
Previously, Titans executive producer Greg Walker had this to say about Starfire's more prominent role this season.
"We’re planning a big season for Kory this year. The arrival of her sister/nemesis Blackfire launches Kory down a path where she uncovers both secrets about her past and clues to her destiny… all of which will lead to her true calling as Starfire. Plus, we have a few other surprises in store for hardcore Starfire fans this season.”
Titans is currently without a premiere date for season 3 as COVID-19 has delayed filming. It was originally slated to premiere during the 4Q 2020 before pandemic-related delays ensued. Production is currently scheduled to conclude in June 2021, making a 4Q 2021 HBO Max debut for Titans likely.
The third season is set to introduce Red Hood, Jonathan Crane, and Barbara Gordon.
