First Teaser For Guillermo Del Toro's THE STRAIN Released
It's not actually footage from the FX adaptation of the trilogy of vampire novels from Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan, merely a found footage style viral vid.
The Strain finds Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll) and his team battling a mysterious viral outbreak that appears to bear all the hallmarks of an ancient strain of vampirism. The condition spreads, and soon Ephraim and a group of ordinary New Yorkers are battling for the fate of humankind. The cast also features the likes of Kevin Durand, Mia Maestro, Sean Astin, Robert Maillet, John Hurt (though he’s only in the pilot, and David Bradley will take over his role in the series) and del Toro regular Doug Jones.
The Strain will air in 2014.
