I know I haven't added an article in a while, honestly because I was too excited for the Watchmen. Having read the book and loving it, I was anxious about this movie. I heard bad things and good things, from the squid not being in there and how horrible the actor was for Veidt. When the day finally came I popped my head of my pillow and suddenly it felt like christmas morning. "The Watchmen comes out today...oh my god." I was in a great mood all day and when I arrived to the theater I was expecting tons of people. My boyfriend and I were two of 15 people. huh.... Well we got our seats and by the time the movie started the theater was filled and I was ready, ready for the Watchmen.

The film started and I leaned over to my boyfriend (Zach) and told him, "Zach the beginning is amazing, but what's with this soundtrack?" I was confused, Unforgettable when the Comedian was getting beat up, and Hallieugh when Laurie and Dan were having sex. Wow. Crazy, but I liked it. It was different. I thought the art direction of the film was amazing and if not nominated for an oscar for that, i will be upset. I started to laugh at some parts because it was so close to the book. I laughed at the sex, probably it was as close to a porno that a R film can get. Still pretty sexy though...i liked it ;)

The blood ohhhh the blood. This film was so bloody bloody. ha The jail scene had to be my favorite. I like Rorschach's one liners. It made the film. I thought the actor who played him was excellent. Ha loved it. I did think it was a little crazy at the Alley scene when Dan Laurie get jumped. I thought they were a little to powerful... I mean breaking arms in half? Dang. Little much, but still cool. Thank GOD they put Doc's penis was in the film, I was happy..haha. Beautiful!

All in all the film was great. People say it was too long, but I disagree. They put EVERYTHING in the movie and if they would have left something out to make the film shorter, more people would be complaining and wishing that certain scene was in it. I will surely be seeing it again.

This is a very honest and enjoyable review. I totally agree with you about the soundtrack, but I couldn't pin down the words for my article so I left it out. It was weird at times but still somehow fits.

Owl and Spectre in Archie was intense, lol. That girl can fake an orgasm! It was close to NC17. Did you notice that Spectre kept her boots on? I did. I don't know what I can say and get away with so I'll leave it at that.

a lot of people are complaining that the song "Hallelujah" was playing during the Owl Ship sex scene....any self respecting Watchmen fan would know that "Hallelujah" was the song playing on the radio right before Dan and Laurie had sex. :P

but I did enjoy the movie and the article.

as for the boots comment ^_^ sexy....Malin Akerman is hot

but, the reason she kept her boots on is because (honest to God) she has webbed toes http://www.flickr.com/photos/8324635@N06/1239309084/

i was happy she kept her boots on. If I had those boots I would keep them during sex. Having heels on makes you even more sexy, so putting the two together was a good idea Malin. BUT in her case with her webbed feet, damn thank god the shoe were kept on. haha

Does she really have webbed feet? She could play Aqua Girl! Yeah heels really add some sexiness to..eh...sex! But my gf only wears them now and again because they can be "Uncomfortable"..like i care about her comfort of pleasure! Women eh?;)

I would were heels all day if I could, but I walk to school and to class and damn that would hurt to wear them all day. And yes she does have webbed feet. Look at that link SGA posted.

I gotta say, i totally agree with you. the movie was spot on to the graphic novel. And i just marveled at how some of the scenes are "exactly" the same as the book. It was pretty incredible. And yeah, the scene where Nite Owl and Silk Spectre fight those guys in the alley is pretty violent and kinda fake cuz they cant really break arms in half and stuff LOL but you cant help but laugh a little and just have a good time :P But overall, the movie was a faithful adaptation to the novel. Jackie Earl Hailey as Rorschach was mezmerizing. Almost as good as Heath Ledger's portrayal of The Joker :) I loved this movie, and ill be glad to see it again :D

you guys!!!!! silk spectre definitely broke a gang member's arm in the comic book, i was surprised when she killed those 2 guys though. that's what got me the most. she snaped one neck, and knifed the other.

I know that was a little crazy when she stabbed that guy. I am happy they made her a little more buff and tough because in the book she is kind of a whiner. Malin definitely kicked some ass in this movie. Her best yet.

A success to the fans, yes. Maybe not to the box office. Thats why I said "Fanboys celebrate, the movie was a success (to us)". That's what my whole review was about.

I think Doritos might be a bit bitter because Dragonball is possibly one of the most reviled movies by both critics and fans ever made! Watchmen is doing just fine at the box office and even if it was not, the fans are still more than happy with the movie...better luck with the DB reboot dude!
