Dominic Cooper Will Reprise The Role Of 'Howard Stark' For AGENT CARTER Season 2

Between Preacher and several other projects Dominic Cooper is a pretty busy man, so we weren't sure if he'd be back to play Iron Man's Daddy in season 2 of Marvel's Agent Carter. But, Hayley Atwell (Peggy Carter) herself has now confirmed that we will indeed see Cooper back in the tash...

We've already had word that James D'Arcy and Enver Gjokaj will be returning as Edwin Jarvis and Agent Daniel Sousa for the second season of Marvel's Agent Carter, with Chad Michael Murray, Bridget Regan, and Lyndsy Fonseca (Angie Martinelli) also expected to reprise their roles. One character who played a crucial role in season 1 but didn't seem as certain to return was Howard Stark, but Hayley Atwell has assured Den Of Geek that Dominic Cooper will be back - though given the actor's slate, don't expect him to pop up in every episode.

Atwell also spoke about season 2's LA setting, and the fact that we'll be picking up with Peggy and co. a year after the events of the season 1 finale. "I’ve not started work on [season 2] yet, but it’s been written,” she revealed. “I do know that, one thing they have decided, is that it’s going to be set a year later. So it’s 1947, it’s going to be set in L.A., and I keep on thinking about L.A. Confidential, that kind of film noir, which would be great."

I love that Marvel are exploring outside of the superhero genre and giving us this fun 1940s spy series. Cant wait for season 2!

Didn't watch season 1. I was watching a bit of episode 5, but it didn't really hold my interest. I'd love to give season 2 a shot, though.

Then you'll love Agents of Shield. No superheroes are in that.

The no superhero complaint for AOS has become pretty redundant since we have now had characters like Sif, Deathlok and Quake appear on the show.

I think Cooper/Howard Starks could get a decent one shot… He does do interesting things and plenty of villains want him dead.

I think the key to making AC S2 better than S1 is more Howard, more Howling Commandos and less misogyny.

Great period-based show with a solid cast and writing. The LA Confidential/Film Noir touch is a good direction though it would be cool to see WWII superheroes like the Invaders or the All-Winner's Squad make an appearance. Some of the costumed super villains of the time could be an interesting addition as well.

I knew he would be back. Love seeing him as Howard. My only complaint is that I don't see enough of him. I'd like to see more Stark, Peggy & Jarvis team ups.

Awesome. Was wondering if he'd be back since he is going to be Jesse Custer in the Preacher tv series.
