AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. Will Officially End After Season 7 Airs In 2020

Marvel's first TV show has been on the cancellation bubble for years now but ABC has finally decided to axe the drama after seven seasons. Find out when Coulson and company will say goodbye after the jump.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. debuted after the massive success of The Avengers and while it took some time to find its feet, it quickly became essential viewing for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As time has gone by, the series has become more standalone in nature, but with a dedicated fanbase, it's managed to avoid the axe for much longer than expected.

Well, all good things must come to an end, and it's now been revealed that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will conclude after its seventh season airs next summer.

ABC already announced that the seventh batch of episodes would be shorter that previous seasons and that led to speculation that it would be its last. The good thing about this news, of course, is that the people working on the show can now ensure that we get a satisfying ending (unlike the Marvel TV shows on Netflix which were cancelled with no warning).

The news comes just hours before the show's Comic-Con panel in San Diego.

How do you guys feel about the end of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? Sound off in the usual place.

The show run his course, and run it well.

Seven seasons is a really good number, time to end with a bang.

Never thought this would run as long as it has. That first season was rough. How things change.

What a ride

So loves last fortress in marvel TV falls.

This is a what happens when you get mixed response on your output and you are a huge douchebaggery and a an assailed to your employees.

The least input the creative committee has on marvel properties the better.
