(there's not much I take seriously)
I've been wrong before.
Oh hell yes, I have. Haven't we all? Sometimes it even takes courage to admit to ourselves that we [frick]ed up. Well, I have news folks: It ain't that serious. You guessed it, I'm just rambling right now. But just take a moment to think it through.. If I'm wrong.. It's okay. It doesn't matter, bro.
The Whedon's love their parallels, especially those of an ironic nature. For example, look at The Avengers: Cap tells Tony "You're not the guy to make the sacrifice play." But then at the end of the movie, that's exactly what he does.
In the same way, I foresee a similar twist arising on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. In episode 2x06, Coulson tells Ward "You are not, nor will you ever be, on my team." Well, as we can see from the description of episode 2x18, "The Frenemy of My Enemy," Ward eventually does team up with him again, along with what's looking like Lance Hunter and Deathlok (oh thank God he's back).
Now I don't trust that one bit; I'm betting Coulson has some plan up his sleeve to take down Ward once he's no longer useful. It just sounds too good to be true. But there's another side to this parallel we're looking at. In 2x06, we see Simmons tell Ward "If I ever see you again, I'll kill you." After his betrayal in season one, it's completely logical for her to feel this way. But Simmons isn't heading Coulson's way--Fitz is. Fitz, who had a mental breakdown last he saw Grant Ward. Ironically--will it be Fitz that ends up killing Ward? God I bloody hope not, but we'll see. Yes, this article was built around a hunch. xoxo
Stay thirsty, my friends.
