Edward James Olmos Joins The Cast Of AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. In Mysterious Role
As if the second season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. wasn't already awesome enough, Battlestar Galactica and Dexter star Edward James Olmos has joined the series in a mysterious role which sounds like it will have major ramifications for Director Coulson. Check it out!
Marvel have announced that Edward James Olmos has joined the cast of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as "Robert Gonzales". I've checked, and there doesn't appear to be any comic book characters of that name, but his debut when the series returns in March will apparently have massive repercussions for Director Coulson and his team. "Edward James Olmos brings an amazing gravitas to any role he inhabits, something we knew we needed for Robert Gonzales," said Executive Producer and Marvel’s Head of Marvel Television, Jeph Loeb in a statement released today. "When Olmos first appears on our series, everyone will have to take notice--including our favorite Agents." Intriguing, eh? Olmos is best known for roles in Battlestar Galactica, Blade Runner, and Miami Vice, and earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role with Stand and Deliver.
