Empire Online recently caught up with Charlie Cox and asked the British actor if he knows anything about what's to come in the recently announced second season of Marvel and Netflix's Daredevil. As you might imagine, he wasn't willing to give away too much, but did have this to say about what - and more importantly who - he hopes to see. "Based on the show we’ve created, which is very grounded in reality, I’d like to see Punisher maybe show up, a little bit of Elektra maybe. I wouldn’t mind Black Widow making an appearance, and you can’t think about Daredevil for too long without thinking of Bullseye. I don’t know when or if or how that would happen, but it’d be cool if it did." That's a lot of great characters, and all but Black Widow are probably very real possibilities. After all, Scarlett Johansson's contract doesn't extend to the small screen, and the budget conscious Marvel might not be keen on paying her for a cameo in the Netflix series!
Regardless, Cox then went on to reveal when the second season of Daredevil will start shooting and how he believes the return of the show will impact plans for the other solo series' and The Defenders. "We’ll begin shooting in the second half of the year. It’ll be the same timeline as the last show, so season two will come out about this time next year. Again, I’m imagining all this, but there’ll probably do Iron Fist or Luke Cage at the same time, followed by the other one [of the two] in the first half of 2016 and then maybe Defenders in the second half of 2016 or the beginning of 2017." Rumour has it that Daredevil and his fellow street level heroes will appear in Avengers: Infinity War, so the next few years are looking very busy indeed for Charlie Cox...
