DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN - Vincent D'Onofrio Says The Series Explores Matt Murdock And Kingpin Like Never Before

Daredevil: Born Again star Vincent D'Onofrio has teased what fans can expect from the upcoming Disney+ series, promising we'll get in-depth insights into both Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk. Check it out...

The Kingpin had a big presence in all three seasons of Daredevil, and while their war seemingly ended with Wilson Fisk's defeat in the season 3 finale, it will soon resume...in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

Following each of their respective (re)introductions in Spider-Man: No Way Home and Hawkeye, the stage is being set for Matt Murdock and New York City's Kingpin of Crime to face off in 2024's Daredevil: Born Again. They'll likely cross paths in Echo before then, of course, but Vincent D'Onofrio has promised fans that big developments are coming in that 18-episode series.

Talking at Salt Lake FanX 2022 in Utah, the actor told fans in attendance, "You guys have no idea what you’re in store for with Born Again. I know a little bit more than you guys. And all I can say is, during that next series, you’re not going to be thinking about anything but the next episode. I promise."

He'd go on to say that, even after the in-depth exploration of both characters in Daredevil, we can expect even deeper insights into them when Daredevil: Born Again hits Disney+.

"I can only say...I’m trying to have to stick to the rules, so I will only say that Charlie and I are going to be given the chance to dig deeper than ever before with our characters," he teased.

We can't wait to see where things go from here. Even if episodes of Daredevil: Born Again are relatively short (which would make sense given how many episodes we're getting), Marvel Studios will have plenty of time to explore the place of these characters in the MCU, and how the hatred they have for each other continues to deepen.

Rumour has it the events of this show will lead into Spider-Man 4, with the wall-crawler and Daredevil teaming up to put an end to the Kingpin of Crime once and for all.

Daredevil: Born Again arrives on Disney+ in 2024.

Still unsure about the number of episodes. The downfall of every Netflix show was having too many episodes for too little content

I'd like that! MCU Spider-Man hasn't dealt with the kind of NY local stakes Kingpin brings in and would be dope to see the 2 UK brats pair up as New Yorkers.

@UniqNo - grand Kingpin story with hawkeye, echo, bullseye, spiderman, and white tiger?

It's like comic books of my youth come to life. Marvel knows what they're doing

@Vigor - some of that sounds cool.

I'd be more interested in seeing those 2 up against bullseye and kingpin and throwing Black cat in the mix for Peter. I don't think we'll go down the Gwen or MJ route in future Spidey movies.

Really wish they'd give this to the original Netflix team. When I heard they were coming back for a new show with direct ties to the mcu I was actually excited. Then all the appearances made me doubt it.

First we had no way home, which basically just showed daredevil was in the mcu now. Fine by itself but not showing much.

Next was kingpin in hawkeye, which was him as more of a growling hulk than the character we grew to love in the show.

Finally was she hulk, where the only really positive thing I can say about that was it led to the best episode of she hulk. The writers even had to be reminded by Charlie that daredevil is blind (no joke).

Fingers crossed when it's not just guest appearances it'll actually live up to the Netflix show.

It will no doubt focus on the comedic sides to both characters. Then both will be beat up by a 102 lb little girl.

@PartyKiller - I still hope for the best. Wakanda Forever had fewer cringey jokes than what we've had lately.

@TheyDont - I don't think Coogler is into that SNL style crud and only James Gunn would've tried to make a Boseman tribute full of comedy.

@Amaru - I reek of truth. Sad that you define secure as accepting Hollywood trash with tiny 102 lb girls beating up Daredevil & Kingpin. You've been properly groomed.

Marvel doesn’t seem to keen to dig deeper with most of their new stuff. I hope so though.

@marvel72 - Fisk would be throwing henchmen, goons, assassins , and mercenaries at Matt and Pete like there's no tomorrow, it would be a great opportunity to showcase some baddies.... there must be 100 rogues between the 2
