Don't Expect To See 'Bullseye' In Marvel And Netflix's DAREDEVIL

We know that The Man Without Fear will have his hands full with The Kingpin in Daredevil, but what about Bullseye? Well, according to showrunner Steven DeKnight (Spartacus), he won't be making an appearance in the Netflix series from Marvel. Hit the jump for details!

By the time Daredevil hits Netflix next year, it will have been 12 years since the release of the movie which starred Ben Affleck, Colin Farrell, and Jennifer Garner. However, just as it appears as if Elektra won't be in the series to avoid any similarites to the movie, neither will Bullseye! It's possible that he could make a surprise appearance in a later episode of course, but if this means that the focus will be on other villains (Stilt Man! Gladiator! Purple Man!) it may make a refeshing change to leave him on the shelf until season two. How do you guys feel about this?

Ah well, he'll be busy fighting Kingpin. Maybe in Season 2, or at least Defenders.

No need to blow everything in Season one you can always center season 2 on bullseye and the hand.

I get it, but it is a bit of a bummer. I liked aspects of Farrell's version, just not the campy acting. But...eh. He has other villains that are interesting. Maybe Bullseye can show up in Iron Fist or something, to differentiate some.

"No One."

As if the news itself wasn't disappointing enough... Those two words are crushing.

@soforzio, I note the same. I am not counting on season 2 for any of these, but of course maybe. Just not a definite, nor is a movie later on. But whatevs. They do they do, they don't the don't.

I don't have any doubts that "Marvel's Daredevil" is going to be a viewer hit on Netflix.
However, I'm hoping more people watch it just so we can get other Daredevil staples in a possible S2.

Well, honestly I wouldn't expect to see bullseye in this season. If I remember correctly, at the NYCC comic con it seemed like the director was indicating that this season of Daredevil would focus on the creation of Kingpin's and Daredevils relationship with not only one another but also the relationship that they both have with the city and how that relationship begins to mold into something better (for some) and worse (for others) I think the season will end with Daredevil and Pin having either their first physical contact with one another or perhaps a mob war that may turn things into an entirely different direction for Pin's character.

It doesn't really seem like they're rushing to make Pin an antagonist. Seems like we'll be seeing a few changes within his character that'll cause him to go a more sinister/complex route.

Once season 2 kicks off you can start to introduce hit men that Pin will hire to take down Daredevil you know? Very thing will come in due time, it's just all about patience.

Kingpin is enough for me, with some little villians as street criminals. That way they have something to do if they plan to have more seasons.
After hearing how great were the fight scenes from comic-con I just can't wait to see the series

That's fine. Save Bullseye and The Hand for a possible follow-up season. Although I'd rather just have a Defenders show going forward.

In addition to Kingpin as the main antagonist, the show should use Angar the Screamer, Death-Stalker, Tombstone, and Typhoid Mary. Not sure if Marvel has the rights to all of those.

Purple Man should be in the background, setting him up as the central antagonist for The Defenders.

There's no way Bullseye will not appear if the series is a big hit & continues.

Well that's kind of disappointing, but I'm still excited for the show regardless. I know Kingpin is the main villain of the season, but I would think we'll see a least a few others villains besides him and Owl. Then again, something tells me this show won't be like the villain-of-the-week superhero shows we're used to, so Fisk & Owlsley may be the only villains we really see in the 13-episode arc. I would think all of the Netflix shows are going to get second seasons; who creates a TV show with the idea that it's only going to last one season anyway? Not even just that, there is such a rich history to the character of Daredevil, it could be explored for 10 seasons really. However, I do kind of the feel like the netflix shows might be testing the waters of these characters in a way. Like, if these shows are successful, then these characters might end up getting their own films. And if not their own films, then they'll at least show up as major characters in the MCU films (I personally and holding on to the hope of Daredevil appearing in Civil War possibly replacing Spider-Man, although Black Panther may be the person who ends up doing that).
