New DAREDEVIL Stills Give Us Our First Look At Vincent D'Onofrio As 'The Kingpin'
The character was glimpsed from behind in the trailer for Marvel and Netflix's Daredevil series, but now USA Today have debuted our first proper look at Vincent D'Onofrio (Full Metal Jacket) as Wilson Fisk, aka The Kingpin. We also have some quotes from the actor, so click on for a look...
"I just brought in this kind of character who in one sentence could easily go from being a child to a monster, depending on where his emotions take him," D'Onofrio tells USA Today when describing his take on the Marvel villain. "I wanted him to have an appearance of being super-powerful so that when he throws a punch, it's a major punch. There's a lot of weight behind it."
Marvel’s Daredevil” is a live action series that follows the journey of attorney Matt Murdock, who in a tragic accident was blinded as a boy but imbued with extraordinary senses. Murdock sets up practice in his old neighborhood of Hell’s Kitchen, New York where he now fights against injustice as a respected lawyer by day and masked vigilante at night.
