New Listing Reveals When ALL Of Netflix's Marvel Television Shows Are Coming To Disney+ (Internationally)

A new listing appears to reveal when the likes of Daredevil and Luke Cage premiere on Disney+, though plans for the U.S. remain unclear, especially as that's where the streamer is more family-friendly.

Earlier this month, we learned that all of the Marvel Television shows on Netflix would be leaving the global streaming giant at the end of February. Fans of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher, and The Defenders were understandably concerned with what the future might hold in store for these series, especially as they don't necessarily fit into Disney+'s family-friendly image.

This is not a problem overseas, as Disney+ has a "Star" category in place of Hulu. Everything from The Walking Dead to Logan and Deadpool are available there, so the Man Without Fear and company should have no trouble fitting in...and they'll make their debut a little sooner than we expected.

A Canadian press release is doing the rounds on social media that confirms all the shows listed above will hit Disney+ on March 16. That means there's only going to be a two-week wait before fans can watch them again, but plans for the shows in the U.S. aren't quite so clear at this time. Short of Star being added to the service (which would likely drive up subscribers but could kill Hulu), we'd bet on them actually heading to Hulu either around March 16 or the same day.

We're hoping an official announcement is coming soon as fans are eager for clarification. The links these Marvel Television properties have to the MCU may be tenuous at best, but they're still important - more so than ever following the returns of Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio as Daredevil and The Kingpin, respectively.

Stay tuned for updates.

Sooner or later Disney will have to add more adult content to Disney+ or merge

Disney+ with Hulu if they ever want to win the streaming wars

The Marvel and Star Wars stuff is cool but I have no interest in everything else they offer in Disney+

@WakandaTech - And the amount of new content they put out is very low for what it costs.

@WakandaTech - America is still too socially conservative for that to happen. Disney won't take the risk at offending conservative America. Just grab a VPN and try out Canadian Disney+

@WakandaTech - We have R rated content on Disney+ here in Europe. I go to the Marvel section and I have all of the MCU movies along with Deadpool and Logan for example. It’s great.

@WakandaTech - Same here, only on D+ for mostly Marvel and Star Wars.

@Moriakum - Never in a million years did I expect to see stuff like "A Teacher" or "Pam and Tommy" when I first purchased Disney+ but here we are. Kind of feel bad that Americans don't have access to all this great content.

@WakandaTech - i don't know if they have it in the states but up here in canada disney+ has a subsection called star and there is plenty of adult content there

@obredaan - I think those are both on Hulu in the US.

I don't know if it's sustainable long term, but if Disney can convince people to keep up two different streaming subscriptions, then that's got to be the big money play, right? WB/DC tried to do the same with DC Universe and HBOMax. If you can sustain both, then I guess you sustain both.

@Spock0Clock - If they merged D+ and Hulu the fee would go to the total of the two. There would be no savings other than them throwing in ESPN for no additional charge. They will keep them separate as far as billing goes imo. That said a unified UI might be possible. Especially if it is rooted in Hulu subscribers.

@JDL - Right, so currently Disney+ is 8 dollars on its own and Hulu is 7. The bundle together is 14. But Hulu also has a premium level at 12 (absolutely criminal).

If you merge them you could probably sneak the price up to 15 for both and either drop the premium (or maybe integrate a similar thing to the Disney+ side). But you do run into that same problem of Disney probably not wanting R-rated material with their brand on it. Having a essentially a single app that just pretends to be Hulu when it's convenient feels odd (especially if you're splitting up the MCU material).

If someone is watching Moon Knight on Disney+, you're probably going to want to suggest to them that they should watch Daredevil, too. (Or vice-versa.)

I guess you could have a curated list of high-priority material that you're damn sure won't ruffle any Disney+ feathers. Maybe even set it up so that if you never technically navigate out of Disney+ to watch the highlighted Hulu material? Seems fiddly, but I'm not an app designer on any level, so maybe I'm way off base here.

@obredaan - America is something these days, socially conservative is putting it mildly.

@Spock0Clock - I think we agree in principle on access. I think it comes down to no 'explicit' stuff accessible from D+ for now. But I don't agree on the no ads price. Why do you think it's out of line ?

Oh here is an odd thing. Afaik you can not buy a yearly bundle of more than a single service. So Hulu is $70/yr. and D+ is $80/yr. but the best price you can get on a bundle is $14/mo. or $168/yr. (for all three services). Since I don't watch sports any more I go annual.

Disney+ in Canada is a fantastic package. So much content for such a low price.

@obredaan - The same here in Portugal. For just 8,99€ (and I share my account with my sister so I only pay 4,5€) I have the MCU, X-Men, Deadpool, Logan, Star Wars, Pixar, Disney, National Geographic, Predator, Die Hard, Avatar, Titanic, Face Off, The Rock (the 20th Century Fox catalogue), etc. It’s fantastic!

Look man. Colter grew on me. Always liked Ritter she was perfect and of course the Danny rand dude sucked, but so did Colter, and then he just got better. I can’t see another LC but the multiverse makes that a non-issue.

I'm glad that here in Europe it is all wrapped up into one subscription.

So they drop right before Moon Knight premieres. One of the Netflix heroes showing up in Moon Knight?

@TheManWithoutFear - My only gripe with it it's that all the Marvel content it's not in that section so You have all those things scattered around
OmegaDaGrodd
OmegaDaGrodd - 2/23/2022, 11:59 AM
@TheManWithoutFear - I doubt they'd show up in Moon Knight but also wouldn't put it out of the realm of possibility depending on where certain parts of Moon Knight take place. Ironically, the character that seems most suited to the international element is Iron Fist, the one least likely to show up

Why would they not include the U.S. in this announcement? I'm sure we're going to get them on Hulu but some confirmation would be nice. I've been wanting to rewatch Daredevil, especially after Hawkeye and No Way Home, and I already have Hulu.
JDL
JDL - 2/23/2022, 1:23 PM
@MovieMonster - Possibly because in the US there is at least one alternative that does not exist elsewhere, F/X. By going there you might grow the base on these shows. Hulu would handle the streaming end of course.
RitoRevolto
RitoRevolto - 2/23/2022, 12:43 PM

Exactly. These shows are R-rated and Luke Cage has nudity in it. Putting them on Disney Plus is censorship backlash waiting to happen.
