Shortly after Disney acquired Marvel Entertainment, the decision was made to expand the MCU on television. It all started with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on ABC, and while it initially appeared as if Marvel Studios was heavily involved with the series, Marvel Television quickly became its own separate entity.
We don't know whether that was Kevin Feige's choice or a decision taken out of his hands, but the two studios were soon doing their own thing, with Marvel Television's various projects barely connected to the wider MCU most of the time.
Eventually, Marvel Studios' President was granted control over all content and that led to a shift in small screen storytelling on Disney+. Now, we're in the midst of a new era - it hasn't always been smooth sailing either - with some of those past actors characters returning (Charlie Cox as Daredevil, for example), and others left behind.
Recently, we asked you, ComicBookMovie.com's readers, to cast your votes and choose the live-action MCU/MCU-adjacent TV series you consider to be the best one.
Thousands of you chimed in and we have a winner: Netflix's Daredevil.
The Man Without Fear scored a dominant victory, with Loki and WandaVision the distant runners-ups. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. clearly remains a firm favourite among many of you, though we're definitely surprised to see The Punisher top some of Disney+'s better MCU TV shows.
As we get further down the list, it becomes clear which of these really failed to resonate with fans, and it's telling that many of Marvel Television's later efforts are among those most of you would consider far from classics.
