We're counting down the days until The Falcon and The Winter Soldier swoops on to Disney+, and fans have high hopes for the series after WandaVision has been delivering terrific episodes on a weekly basis.
The marketing campaign is beginning to heat up, and one fan recently spotted a banner in Los Angeles featuring new imagery of the two title characters. Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes' unlikely partnership promises to be one of the most compelling parts of the series, as does John F. Walker's introduction.
He's the new Captain America, and in new quotes from Disney's D23 Magazine, Sebastian Stan teased his role in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
"When you think about the world today, and the character of John Walker and what he represents in the comics, he very much makes sense in the series," the actor says. "John Walker might tap into a few things people expect from that character, but I think there might be another side to that character that people haven’t seen or expected."
In the same issue, Wyatt Russell (who plays the new Captain America), says: "You don’t know a lot when you take the role, so you have to trust them. If you’re going to take a leap of faith, you do it with the best people, and the best people are at Marvel."
