According to the
@FFilmu Twitter account (via
Murphy's Multiverse),
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will soon be heading to Prague to shoot scenes for the upcoming Disney+ TV series.
Those are reportedly going to be taking place in Ploskovice Castle, a very regal location which the site speculates could be used to double for Baron Zemo's ancestral home. Remember, in the comic books, the "Baron Zemo" mantle is one that was passed down to him from the ancestor who battled Captain America and Bucky during World War II, so the MCU could give him a similar legacy.
That's just speculation for now, of course, and movie magic means this site could be used to double for pretty much anywhere (even some sort of manor on the island of Madripoor, for example).
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier debuts on Disney's streaming service this August, so production must be nearing its end now. However, with all eight episodes set to be released on a weekly basis, Marvel Studios still has plenty of time to put the finishing touches or the series.
Zemo's role in the show following his debut in
Captain America: Civil War is something of a mystery, but rumour has it that he'll be pulling John Walker's strings, and we know he'll suit up in that comic accurate mask. Throw in those rumours about the Thunderbolts, and there could be big plans for the villain in this shared world moving forward.
