There was understandably a lot of concern for Jeremy Renner following his serious, near-fatal accident on New Year's Day near his home in Northern Nevada, but the actor underwent successful surgery after being airlifted to the ER, and regained consciousness a couple of days later.

Since leaving the hospital to continue his rehabilitation at home, Renner has been bringing his followers up to speed on his recovery via social media, and has now shared a very promising update.

The Hawkeye star Tweeted out a video of himself walking for the first time with the aid of an antigravity treadmill, which reduces a percentage of his body weight as his legs continue to grow stronger.

There was initially some confusion as to what actually caused the accident, but it eventually came to light that Renner was run-over by his own snowcat when he attempted to regain control of the vehicle after coming to the aid of his nephew.

“After successfully towing his personal vehicle from its stuck location, Mr. Renner got out of his PistenBully to speak with his family member,” Sheriff Darin Balaam said in an official statement. “At this point, it is observed that the PistenBully started to roll. In an effort to stop the rolling PistenBully, Mr. Renner attempts to get back into the driver seat of the PistenBully. Based on our investigation, it’s at this point that Mr. Renner is run over by the PistenBully.”

Renner still has a long road ahead, but this is obviously a positive sign that he will eventually make a full recovery.

Damn, the sheer force of will of the guy is impressive. I mean, yeah, sure he can pay for thge most costly treatments and all, but the willpower to go through it is a must nonetheless.

@Franshu - It's an interesting parallel to the MCU. Marvel Studios tackled this type of narrative with Rhodey and used "Modern MCU technology" to help him walk again. And Jeremy Renner is using Modern day technology to help him walk today. Both establish what money can do for those in financial well beings. But both also tackled the positivity the two stories brought for those around them. It's an interesting parallel. At least to me as a fan of both the MCU and Jeremy Renner as an actor and person.

@dragon316 - His back brace was Stark made. And I addressed that in my post when I said "Modern MCU technology". I said it was an interesting parallel to our modern day technology when it comes to people with money and the advancements made.

@SonOfAGif - I was thinking of that parallel as well but you have expressed it in a very eloquent post.

❤🙏❤🙏❤

If he never acts again and spends the rest of his life holding his family and making new memories, I 110% get it. Live long and love big, brother. Glad you made it.

If ever you get the itch to act, you are ALWAYS an Avenger, Hawkeye!
