IRON FIST Actor Teases The Return Of [SPOILER] For A Potential Second Season

Marvel and Netflix's Iron Fist saw the introduction of a couple of surprise characters, and it looks like one of 'em will definitely be back for another season - though he will be skipping The Defenders.

As you'll no doubt be aware by now if you've already binged your way through Marvel's Iron Fist on Netflix, towards the end of the season Davos (Sacha Dhawan) is introduced. Though there had been rumors that we'd see this character, but we had no idea what type of role he'd play in the story.

As it turns out, the "Steel Serpent" starts out as a friend of Danny's, but things change when the Living Weapon refuses to return to K'un-Lun with him, and the bad feelings escalate when Davos finds out that Colleen Wing is a member of The Hand. By the season finale, Davos has actually decided that he wants his former "brother" dead, which sets up a potential main villain for season 2.

During an interview with Radio Times, Dhawan teases the possibility of Davos' return once The Defenders wraps-up:

I’m not in the Defenders, no. The crux of Danny and Davos’ story I think really begins towards the end of season 1, and I think they didn’t want to start it straight away into the Defenders, and wanted to save it for series 2.

Iron Fist has yet to be officially renewed for another season, but all of the other Marvel Netflix shows have, so we assume it's only a matter of time - even with the mostly negative critical reaction.

Tell us, would you like to see Davos return and attempt to harness the power of The Iron Fist for himself? Sound off below.

Really loved the casting on Davos and how they dealt with him. Did find Joys twist at the end odd, but the fact that madam gao - supposedly still Crane Mother since she's working with Davos who in no way would work with the Hand - was sitting right behind may allude to something.

@AbidNaga - The ending with Joy was sooooo stupid. She literally acknowledged that he's a better person than her and Ward the episode before.

@OmegaBlack13 - That's sort of why I think there's more to it than a random character change.

@AbidNaga - yea that ending was rough, it kind of made me think more about the writing and how they clearly had issues. Joys character was all over the place. And the issue I have with davos is he came in late and we didnt know anythign about him. Show wouldve been greatly improved through flashbacks of some sort so we are not so in the dark on parts of his growth and training and his life on Kun lun. If we had flashbacks of him training and his friendship with davos then it wouldve been a way better payoff in the end.

@AbidNaga - really enjoyed the show more than I expected to...loved the Meachams thought they were the best side characters in any of the Netflix shows so far...the twist at the end was definitely strange...I don't understand pacing criticism either, it was slow paced, but consistent throughout...except maybe the last episode but every shows last episode has seemed rushed to me

@AbidNaga - he's a native of Kun Lun, but had a thick British accent, bothered the heck out of me.

@OmegaBlack13 - Yeah, that made my ass twitch too. That and the uninspired fight choreography. Otherwise, I like what they did with the series and really hope we have a season 2 Buffy-type turn around for Iron Fist.

Awesome. Liked his dynamic with Danny and his jealousy/betrayal as well, should set something interesting up in the future.

@Menks123 - I agree. But this whole dynamic wouldve landed so much better with more shown about danny and davos. The main issue was by the time he came into the fold the only thing you knew was one 30 second story Danny tells about them. What was missing were flashbacks showing their bond and how they were boys. And maybe something in the flashback about how the iron fist is such an honor and davos had always wanted it.

@MrR0B0T - I agree 100%, I wanted to see more of his past as well, and it would have elevated it much more. Hopefully in S2 we get more of the flashbacks, which i'm a fan of....but not over done.

I don't think they'll do a S2 but I'd rather see a Power Man & Iron Fist series instead...

Yeah, Josh Wilding's password isn't letting me in. I can only assume that he has ceased his monthly payments to PlumperPass.com.

I loved this show and I can see the potential for something greater. This show can only get better.

I think the worst part of the show was the drunken fist fight with the stunt guy Lewis Tan. He had 5 different accents going on and his line delivery was cringe worthy. I don't understand how people want a stunt double to lead a show when he can't even control his accent. The fighting was great, but the rest was horrible.

The biggest problem the show had was the fighting. It's mainly because Finn Jones doesn't don the suit. Matt wore his prototype suit all of season one, which allowed for easy stunt double switches and better choreographed action sequences. With Finn not wearing a suit, it made things difficult, and it showed.

Other than that, I loved the show and I think it's best that Steven S. Deknight come back for show runner. He's what made Daredevil season 1 so great.

@Kr08 - yep the fighting was a disappointment but makes sense when you think about it... I really liked it too. It felt very much a part of the Netflix Defenders universe, and its a borderline crime the type of reviews this got.

@Kr08 - Loved the show as well, and agreed; really hope Deknight does season 2. Though I personally found the Zhou Cheng scene to be one of the best in the show.

@Kr08 - That's why I believe Danny should wear a mask. That way the Stunt man can carry most of the fight choreography
