RUMOR: Marvel Currently Auditioning For Iron Fist

With the casting of Charlie Cox as Daredevil, Mike Colter as Power Man, and Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones; we have all been awaiting the casting of Danny Rand, and while we don't have an answer yet, it looks like Marvel is getting the ball rolling if a recent rumor is to be believed.

With the TCA Press Tour happening this past week, we learned a lot about Marvel and Netflix's partnership going forward. One question was of course, who is going to play Danny Rand.

Now take this with a grain of salt, but a recent post on Reddit by a comic book shop owner indicates that Luke Bracey (Point Break [Remake], The November Man, G.I. Joe: Retaliation) visited his comic book shop and picked up an Immortal Iron Fist Omnibus.

As the poster points out, it's odd enough that someone like Bracey just walks in with an indication that he doesn't know which comic he's looking for, only to ask for an omnibus featuring one of the most popular runs of the character. He did apparently ask for some early Power Man/Iron Fist stuff but the shop didn't have any.

This is interesting on a few levels, if true it means that Marvel is actively holding auditions for the role, also with Luke Bracey being an up and coming star, especially with his starring role in the upcoming remake of Point Break, then it would make sense for Marvel to get him while he's still a relative newcomer.

In the meantime, what do you think of this news? Do you think the rumor is true? Do you think Bracey would make for a great Iron Fist? Who would be your pick? Let us know in the comments and until it's confirmed or debunked, keep reading ComicBookMovie.com!
