Two episodes done. Kinda slow so far but holding out hope all the reviews were wrong. Really wish I didn't know about them going in.

@Nitric - exactly, there is a riot in ign, most of the people say they are so biased, watching it very soooon

@Nitric - 4 episodes in so are - it is a slow burn, but I'm not at all bored. Seems to me that each episodes is getting better and adding stakes. Fight choreography is fine, his fighting style in fluid and fast unlike the laboured style of Dare Devil which is grittier.
I have just finished episode 4 and there has only been one board meeting with Danny Rand so far, really not sure the early critics watched the same show as me.
Anyways just checked the Rotten Toamtoes score and its up to 19% from 14% so more reviews starting to dribble in.

@hummingbird68 - Yeah definitely a slow burn. Colleen Wing is amazing. The fight Choreography is good, but there's obviously a lot of stunt doubling. I think that really limits the type of shots they could use. This is where the benefits of wearing a mask & costume comes in. You can get great shots with a stunt double, but since Danny's face is out, they have to hide him and use lots of quick cuts

@hummingbird68 - @radalghul I'm into the third episode now. My only issue so far and it may be just me but I feel like the fight choreography is very slow.

Getting ready to watch.

Anyone else with updates on what they think?
AgeofHeroes
AgeofHeroes - 3/17/2017, 7:28 AM
@LaserKing - it is slow, fight sequence is terrible but not too terrible, far better than 2 half of luke cage but not so great. 6.5 from what i can say, RT just br 58%: very subjective depending on what you want
Deonox
Deonox - 3/17/2017, 8:17 AM
@RasAlGhul - Yeah i was talking to someone earlier but with DD, he had a mask so they can get great shots with a Stunt double, if Iron Fist wore a mask they could do the same, instead of hiding him with all these quick cuts
AgeofHeroes
AgeofHeroes - 3/17/2017, 8:37 AM
@Deonox - exactly, he really needs that mask in the defenders, more than anything

Episode 2. It's very slow and repetitive thus far, but not TERRIBLE by any means. The first series not to hook me from episode 1.
MattBellissimo
MattBellissimo - 3/17/2017, 7:31 AM
Like, they have about three scenes per episode so far that are basically copies of one another. It's super strange....like they couldn't figure out what to write
MattBellissimo
MattBellissimo - 3/17/2017, 7:33 AM
That said this isn't a "12% RT" kind of show....so far.
NoMeaning45
NoMeaning45 - 3/17/2017, 7:39 AM
@MattBellissimo - how are the fight scenes?
MattBellissimo
MattBellissimo - 3/17/2017, 7:41 AM
@NoMeaning45 - Few and far between thus far. Nothing that has astounded me really.
NoMeaning45
NoMeaning45 - 3/17/2017, 7:42 AM
@MattBellissimo - well that's....disappointing.

That should be one of the good things about an iron fist show.
MattBellissimo
MattBellissimo - 3/17/2017, 7:43 AM
@NoMeaning45 - I AM only two episodes in. But it's strange to have a superhero show where the hero still hasn't shown any powers yet.
Kman
Kman - 3/17/2017, 7:47 AM
@MattBellissimo - sounds like the slowest burn yet for Marvel Netflix...

And in most cases Im all about that...

not so sure about this though
MattBellissimo
MattBellissimo - 3/17/2017, 7:48 AM
@Kman - It's just weird. Like most of the dialog doesn't progress anything. It's just kinda....talking for the sake of talking so far.
Kman
Kman - 3/17/2017, 7:54 AM
@MattBellissimo -

Poor Danny's inbox is probably a disaster scene right now

@MattBellissimo - are you or any other editor gonna try your hands at reviewing this season?..........or do we have to wait for JW's 10/5 rated review? 😂
JoeMomma29
JoeMomma29 - 3/17/2017, 8:02 AM
@MattBellissimo - It is very bland....like watching a snail ride a turtle........
MattBellissimo
MattBellissimo - 3/17/2017, 8:03 AM
@MonsieurClunge - Josh already reviewed the series, if you have a look at the reviews section :) Only based on the first six episodes though, like everyone else.

I usually don't write official reviews like my colleagues BUT i'll give my impressions as I watch more, for sure :)
BraveNewClunge
BraveNewClunge - 3/17/2017, 8:06 AM
@MattBellissimo - yeah i saw his review of the 1st 6 episode lol, just wondered if there was gonna be an entire season review popping up soon.

Thanks man, keep up the good work!
Deonox
Deonox - 3/17/2017, 8:20 AM
@MattBellissimo - I was talking to someone earlier but with DD you can get amazing fights and choreography because he wore a mask. So the stunt double gave the director a lot of options. But since Danny isn't wearing a mask, they have to hide him with quick cuts and simple choreography

NinnesMBC - 3/17/2017, 7:33 AM
So far I've seen two episodes and it isn't anywhere as bad as it was said IMO.
