With less than 48 hours to go until Loki arrives on Disney+, it's clear that Marvel Studios has started pulling out all the stops when it comes to getting us excited for their latest TV series.
Empire recently caught up with Marvel Cinematic Universe head honcho Kevin Feige, and he was quick to stress that this is a series with major ramifications for Phase 4 and beyond.
"It’s tremendously important. It perhaps will have more impact on the MCU than any of the shows thus far," the Marvel Studios President revealed. "What everybody thought about WandaVision, and was sort of true, and The Falcon And The Winter Soldier, which was sort of true, is even more sort of true for Loki."
WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier were pretty big deals for the MCU, completely changing the roles Wanda Maximoff and Sam Wilson will play in future stories. Is a similar transformation now in store for the God of Mischief? It certainly sounds like that will be the case.
"You want to see, after six hours or so, characters change and evolve," Feige teased. "We don’t make these shows to not be radical, right?"
Loki has only had roughly a couple of hours of screentime in the MCU despite making multiple appearances across The Avengers and Thor franchises. Given six hours to let loose, it's impossible to imagine the character not ending up in a vastly different place than he has as a supporting character.
