LUKE CAGE Villain Confirmed To Return For Season 2

Power Man squared off with a fair few different villains in Luke Cage last year, but we now know that at least one of them will be returning when the second season launches on Netflix in 2018...

Luke Cage's first season wrapped up with the fate of many characters fairly open ended, but at least one bad guy will be back to plague Power Man when he returns to Harlem after his adventure with The Defenders. That will be Theo Rossi's Shades, a bad guy who made his presence felt in a big way.

What he'll be up to in season two remains to be seen, but you have to believe that he'll probably wind up once again squaring off with Luke, especially as a powered up Diamondback will likely return.

"Now that I’m on Netflix with Marvel, and to be on the number one show on Netflix in Luke Cage, it’s like cable television 2.0," Rossi said. "I’ve been very lucky and very fortunate in my decisions and in the people who wanted me to be with them with things like Sons [of Anarchy] and Luke Cage … I honestly couldn’t ask to be in a better situation with the caliber of people I’m around. Walking on the streets that I skateboarded in and ran around doing graffiti in, it’s a pretty incredible feeling. There’s a memory on every street, on every block, and I get to be close to my family. It’s all perfect."

As for what's next for Rossi, he confirmed that it will be the Marvel series, a pretty strong indication that it will reach Netflix in 2018. "Luke Cage is going down, [we’re in] season two. We’re pretty excited, it’ll be nice to get back into the swing." Are you excited to see Shades taking on Power Man?

He was a pretty cool villain! Cottonmouth was the best, though. My interest in more Luke Cage will depend on my feelings towards The Defenders.

@Kyos - Shades needs a cough drop.

Best Netflix villain right here:

@SonOfAGif - He made Jessica Jones better than it was and that isn't an insult to the show, but a compliment to how great the portrayal was.
