Mike Colter Promises Heroes For Hire Arc With Iron Fist In LUKE CAGE Season 2

We recently learned that Finn Jones' Danny Rand will appear in season two of Luke Cage and now Mike Colter has revealed that we're getting a Heroes for Hire arc when the show returns to Netflix next year.

Not too long ago, it was confirmed that Iron Fist would be paying Power Man a visit in Luke Cage season two. The heroes first met in The Defenders and while they weren't exactly the best of friends there, fans have been hoping we could see them team-up to become Heroes for Hire. Now, Mike Colter has revealed that the plan is indeed to explore that concept when the show returns to Netflix.

"He will bring some fresh blood in the new season and I’m hoping that people will respond to it well," the actor teased when he was asked about what comes next between the two. "We are teamed up for a bit. That’s the whole point of bringing that flavor to it. I can see how this works. That’s what good about it. We’re giving people what they want." It remains to be seen how much of an impact this has on the series but Colter confirmed that we won't be seeing Jessica Jones next season.

"A lot of times people wanted to see Jessica Jones and Luke and what happens to them; but we went out on a limb, and decided to ‘let’s give a little Heroes for Hire somewhere in the season and see what happens.' Hopefully people will respond to it." Iron Fist has been confirmed for a second season too and it's feasible that could actually become Heroes for Hire depending on how much fans like this.

We'll have to wait and see but Colter has confirmed that shooting is still ongoing and the hope is to launch the second season of Luke Cage in the first half of 2018. Are you excited for Heroes for Hire?

Still hoping for a full on heroes for hire mini-series, but an episode or 2 are also cool nonetheless

Hopefully this creative team reworks Danny a little bit into more of a fun character. The new setting and the absence of the "I must destroy The Hand" element could do wonders for him.

I'm down. It may make Iron Fist easier to watch.

It seems like sometimes they listen to the viewers reactions. I think they need to re work the formula for how they present the shows

I don't like that "give them what they want" mentality. The viewer is not a writer, what they want is not necessarily the better story.

That's exactly what DC is doing wrong.

Danny shines when he's playing off of Luke. This is great.

I do hope that Iron Fist becomes the Kung-Fu master that he should be and more of a wise person thant what he is now on the show.
Also I would like the costume incorporated some how
Daredevil cant be the only person running around in his kiss ass costume
I mean even Punisher has his trade mark skull.
Man cant wait for the Punisher
