MOON KNIGHT Magazine Cover Sees Moon Knight And Mr. Knight Step Out Of The Shadows

A new magazine cover hyping up Marvel Studios' Moon Knight has been released that teases two different sides to Steven Grant/Marc Spector's superhero alter-ego: Moon Knight and the enigmatic Mr. Knight.

Moon Knight looks set to be one of the most exciting new additions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe during Phase 4. While we don't know what the future holds in store for the unhinged superhero beyond his upcoming limited series on Disney+, it's hard to imagine him being anything other than a major player moving forward, especially if Marvel Studios is looking to embrace the supernatural.

Following that horror-inspired clip earlier today, a new magazine cover has been released that showcases two different sides to this unhinged superhero: Moon Knight and Mr. Knight. How these personas will differ remains to be seen, but that's certainly an interesting looking weapon the latter is wielding.

Marvel Studios looks to be leaning heavily into Egyptian mythology with this series, and that could be a game-changer. Don't forget, in the comic books, Moon God Khonshu once crossed paths with Rama-Tut, a Kang Variant.

The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt. 

Moon Knight stars Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke and May Calamawy. Mohamed Diab and the team of Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead directed the episodes (there's no mention of George Clooney). Jeremy Slater is the head writer, and Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Mohamed Diab, Jeremy Slater and Oscar Isaac are the executive producers.

Moon Knight premieres on Disney+ on March 30.

@ElricReturns - sort of in the sense that it's another personality. But not the kind that pushes the character to do the more messed up stuff.

It's actually explained very well in one of his early stories, where it's explained the police are required to arrest moon knight on sight, but Mr knight is so respected by the police that they will consider him an entirely different person from moon knight and openly work with him.

@Origame - maybe that will be the case here too, although it would indeed be told over a shortly period of time.

I wonder if we'll get to see the Jake Lockley personality as well, because if we do then I can see the appearance of Mr. Knight feel like too much.

@Origame - What happens in the comics is not what happens in the movies. The MCU is original storytelling adapted from the comics; not ever meant to be carbon copies. Your expectations are so one dimensional. Stop finding reasons to complain about everything.

@Tonic24k - dude. My complaint isn't that it isn't a carbon copy. Your view of my complaint is the only thing one dimensional.

A good comparison of Mr knight in the comics is smart hulk. And, guess what, the mcu knew that smart hulk was something to build towards and not rush.
Hell, even the people here who are arguing against me (other than you) understand my complaint and agree to an extent.

@CryinFist - ...they literally haven't so far with any of their franchises. The only exception is hulk, but that's due to rights reasons and they still managed to work him into the avengers and Thor franchise with full arcs and stuff.

Even the eternals, the worst reviewed and one of the lowest performing mcu property, already has the promise of the eternals returning.

@Origame - But you seem to find a way to have a problem with everything. The complainer culture you subscribe to is so obnoxious. And no, my logic doesn't summarize that promotional material cannot yield excitement. My logic would actually assert that if you were getting excited over an assumption, that's the equivalent. Just as how people assumed Mephisto would show up in WandaVision and then became disappointed . So the real problem here is you're assuming how something is going to work in a show you haven't seen yet simply because the comic books did it differently. Otherwise, you have no other precedent to go by.

@Tonic24k - 1) yes it does, if you are then telling me I can't have a problem with it. Your excitement is based on the assumption that the show you're watching has more of what's in the trailer, when everything we've seen can only amount to the first episode and the rest is a bunch of boring conversations.

2) the problem with wandavision isn't that there was no mephisto or quicksilver. It's that what we got was hot garbage that was also weirdly ok with slavery (but only if you're grieving of course).

3) just like you're assuming it will work and trusting the film makers to deliver. Again, same logic. Or should we not also have a problem with the flash starting with Flashpoint? Remember, you haven't seen it so you're just assuming how it's going to work and getting mad at it.

@Origame - It's so entirely sad you spend this amount of time justifying your right to complain. You should be thankful we're even getting shows like this with quality production. Yet here you are finding ways to complain. Just appreciate what we're getting dude. Reserve judgement on the shit you're worried about and let the other aspects excite you. You'll be a whole helluva lot happier and so will others here. It gets exhausting coming here wanting to share excitement over these projects and here you always are with some irrational complaint.
