MOON KNIGHT Spoiler Stills From "The Friendly Type" Highlight Khonshu, Arthur Harrow, And More

We had lots to discuss after watching yesterday's episode of Moon Knight (check out our in-depth breakdown here), and Marvel Studios has now shared a new gallery of stills from "The Friendly Type."

Lots of key characters and moments receive the spotlight, including Khonsu, Marc Spector's team-up with Layla, Midnight Man (well, Anton Mogart), and the villainous Arthur Harrow. Moon Knight Head Writer Jeremy Slater recently spoke to Marvel.com about casting Ethan Hawke in the role, confirming that the Oscar-nominated actor ended up changing his vision for Khonshu's former avatar.

"I pitched and wrote a draft where he was much [older],'" Slater told Marvel.com during a recent interview. "In that version, it was very much someone looking at their own mortality, reaching the end of the road, being terrified of that, and desperate to do anything to capture it. The second Oscar came to everyone and said, 'Look, I think I can get Ethan Hawke in this.' We quickly abandoned the idea of an older Harrow because when you get a chance to get Ethan Hawke, you take it."

Harrow has certainly proven himself one of the MCU's better villains, but with three episodes of Moon Knight left, we'll soon find out whether he manages to leave a lasting impact.

Promos for upcoming episodes of the series have pointed to us getting an epic final battle with a powered-up Harrow squaring off with Marc Spector, so we're definitely intrigued. Moon Knight's future beyond this series remains a mystery, but we'd bet on Hawke's baddie being a one-and-done antagonist.

@bobevanz - I always thought it was underrated. Actually, you and I might be the only ones here that have seen it...

What a great episode. Finally some brutal action and less Steven Grant. Ethan Hawke is pulling this character off well. He definitely looks aged up.

Loving this show so far, not quite at a Loki level yet but definitely took WandaVision's place as my second fav series from the D+ era. Love the dynamic between Steven/Marc and also adored how Konshu pretty quickly decided to sacrifice himself, showed that he's not just a POS but also dedicated to his cause.

Oscar Isaac is the bomb in this role and Ethan Hawke is f'''ng killing it, would have loved him to be Dracula but it seems he's a completely different character.

Seeing Isaac pull this off I can't help but wish for a Poe Dameron series on D+ in the vein of 50s pulp sci-fi action heroes. Have Poe travel the Galaxy and live through new adventures every week like Hercules and Xena did. I'd watch the hell out of that. The Han Solo show we never got.

@Blergh - I wanted a young Poe Dameron to appear in The Book of Boba Fett working as a spice runner for the Pike Syndicate. It would have added some more backstory to him and with Boba Fett slaughtering the Pike's, he then gave Poe a second chance. Poe took that second chance to do something good and join the Resistance against the First Order.

Classic marvel. Keeping up the trend of a a character disguising themselves simple with a baseball cap.

Ones I started to see Harrow as older Charlie Manx,I couldnt stop hearing in my head "Bing Partrige, you will never get to Christmast Land" in that silly attempt of an old mans voice

Really loved the depiction of Cairo, Egypt. So glad they didn't use that god-awful, overused yellow filter.

@Kumkani - The director has been very vocal about his depiction of Egypt and the importance of showing real locations in Egypt and not filters and CGI.

That scene when Mr. Knight and Khonshu we're standing side by side spinning the night sky was so beautiful. Not to mention how at that very moment Knonshu spoke to Steven with respect and placed his fate in Steven's hands. Such a beautiful moment.

sooo I have a question... didn't Khonshu say that if he is turned to stone, they'll have to fight without the protection of the suit?

So are they not going to be suited up in the moon knight costume for the rest of the series until he is released? Because that would kinda suck out loud

@Demigods - I thought this too but I think we also have to consider that Khonshu is a manipulator and you can’t trust everything he say as sometimes

The way Khonshu is always just hanging out always elevates the scenes. My guy is really just trying to chill no matter what's happening

Love the way Moon Knight fights. Such a ferocity to it and speed.

Great to see the other Avatars
