Ever since Marvel joined with Netflix to produce shows like Daredevil, and other street level heroes, fans have been clamoring to see Moon Knight make the jump to live-action. Yet, as time passed and as Disney stepped away a bit from Netflix, focusing on their own streaming service, the likelihood of seeing the mercenary turned vigilante has fallen. But, in an interview with IGN, Steven S. DeKnight discussed his appreciation for his time with Marvel and Netflix as well as his desire to work with the character of Marc Spector.
"I’ve watched them all. I mean, I loved my time there. It was interesting, I actually came into season one of Daredevil to help out my old buddies, Drew Goddard and Jeph Loeb," DeKnight explained to IGN, showing his continued interest in the Netflix corner of the Marvel universe, andrevealing his initial reason for showrunning season 1 of Daredevil. However, before this discussion, the Pacific Rim: Uprising director briefly discussed Moon Knight and other Marvel characters he has an interest in: "I wouldn’t mind taking a crack at Moon Knight at some point. There are so many characters that I love in the Marvel universe. Really, for me, it would be about schedule. My schedule these days, as you imagine, is a little tight. God, you know, when I signed onto Daredevil, I expressed an interest in Iron Fist and the Punisher, which I both loved. I’d love to see Moon Knight get a little bit of love. Great, great character.”
These comments, of course, shouldn't be taken as anything other than DeKnight expressing his interest in the character. But, if the former Marvel-Netflix showrunner was given a shot, would any of you folk be interested. Whatever your thoughts may be, make sure to comment below.
