MOON KNIGHT Is Reportedly Set To Start Shooting This November Ahead Of Disney+ Debut

Despite Hollywood essentially being on lockdown as a result of COVID-19, a new report claims that Moon Knight is expected to start shooting in November, the same month Black Widow is being released...

We recently learned that every single Marvel Studios production has been postponed as a result of the global pandemic, but there's been no word on what that means for the TV shows coming to Disney+. There have, however, been rumblings that The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and WandaVision will both be unable to premiere later this year as planned.

Time will tell on that front, of course, and if the world returns to normal sooner rather than later, there's a chance the shows will be finished and we will indeed see them in August and December.

In the meantime, a listing from Production Weekly (via ComicBook.com) claims that Moon Knight is currently scheduled to start shooting under the working title "Good Faith" on November 16th. Work on the Disney+ series is scheduled to last over 26 weeks, but a start date like this would mean that it could arrive late 2021/early 2022.

What is apparent is that Marvel Studios is wasting no time making these TV shows, and Kevin Feige is clearly comfortable working on them every bit as much as Marvel's theatrical output. November is also the month Black Widow is scheduled to be released, so the hope is clearly that things will have returned to normal by then (something it's fair to say we're all banking on right now).

There's a chance this date could change due to current world events, but fingers crossed it doesn't, as it could mean we get casting news for Moon Knight a little sooner than we expected...

@BillyBatson1000 - Affleck has experience at playing ghosts? I though he just had experience at sexually harrassing women? 🤔

@Feralwookiee - Just "A Ghost Story" reference. Nothing more. I meant James Franco ... erm. Ed Westwick. No. Ezra Miller.

Unrelated: Fat Thor may be done and I'm not sure how I should feel about that. 😜

@Feralwookiee - I found it extremely weird that Thor gained weight, grew a full beard but his body was not hairy.

Rocket was right on the money when he said he looked like melted ice cream.

@Feralwookiee - Fat Thor was The Russos leaning a little TOO HARD into Ragnarok Thor.

What they did in IW was a great way of acknowledging Thor's transformation in Ragnarok but still giving him some dramatic heft for a dramatic situation. He lost half his people, his brother and reacted with anger, but a righteous thirst for vengeance. The later when he gets his shot at revenge at Thanos and stopping the snap, he succumbs to base emotion, Thor is responsible for the death of his friends. All that time on Nidavellir wasted.

I always had the idea after IW it would be best to find Thor behaving like Unworthy Thor: in a constant drunken stupor, traversing the 9 realms getting into fights with trolls, wallowing in his own self pity but in a way that felt truly tragic. He can't lift Stormbreaker either. Its a full circle kind of arc for him. He was petulant, selfish, immature in the first Thor. His decision to not go for the head with Thanos was selfish, petty, and immature of sorts. What a way to make him unworthy again.

@BlackBeltJones - as much as I liked the first scene introducing Fat Thor, Chris knocked the emotions out the park, this sounds so much better.

@MyCoolYoung - Hemsworth got the emotional aspect, he does it so well. He would KILL Unworthy Thor.
