Secret Invasion was announced during Disney's Investors Day last year along with several other planned Disney+ shows, but the small screen adaptation of Brian Michael Bendis' acclaimed comic run might just be the most highly-anticipated of the bunch.
Captain Marvel 2 stars Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Ben Mendelsohn (Talos) will return for the series, which will adapt - on a much smaller scale, presumably - the story of the Skrull invasion of Earth.
We still don't know a whole lot about the series beyond that, but The Illuminerdi has now shared a few details on three supporting roles, including the villain.
Marvel is currently searching for an actor between the ages of 50-60 to play Secret Invasion’s main antagonist, along with an actress between 40-50 years old, whose character will "share many scenes with Jackson’s Nick Fury." There's also a call for "an important supporting role to be played by a younger female actor."
These breakdowns don't reveal very much, but if the show sticks to the source material at all, the villain is most likely going to be Dorrek VII, Emperor of the Skrull Empire. There's also speculation that the younger character might be Abigail Brand, but she's obviously just one of many possibilities.
Secret Invasion is currently set to begin production later this year, so we'll hopefully find out more soon. For now, let us know if you have any theories about these mysterious supporting players down below.
