Last Thursday's episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law saw Pug and Nikki embark on a quest to find Jennifer Walters some clothing suitable for a superhero. The lawyer also needed the paralegal's help to secure the new Iron Man Three sneakers, and the show's animated credits confirmed that Pug eventually got his hands on them.
However, in the background, fans spotted a number of Easter Eggs, referencing characters like Cyclops, Deadpool, Nova, Spider-Man, and The Thing.
During a recent interview, TV Line asked director Anu Valia (who also helms the next two instalments of the Disney+ series) whether there were any plans to ever show that shopping trip. "No," she confirmed. "That was just a fun [callback]."
As for those references to heroes who aren't currently part of the MCU - as far as we know, anyway - Valia said "I can’t speak to that," because "all those Easter eggs in that drawing, a lot of other minds has input there, and I did not. So I can’t really speak to that."
So, if the She-Hulk: Attorney at Law director didn't decide to include those Easter Eggs, we have to believe it was likely down to Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. Perhaps he just wanted to get fans talking or maybe this is a sign that, whenever this show takes place, the likes of Cyclops and The Thing are already out there somewhere.
Given the disjointed nature of Phase 4, we wouldn't be shocked if that is the case, but all Valia would do is tease fans with what's to come from her She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episodes.
"You’ll have to see," she said with a laugh when asked if fans can expect some action. "They’re all very different...I feel like the upcoming episodes are very fun. I hope people get a kick out of them."
It's unclear whether her episodes will include Daredevil, though the ending of "Mean, Green, and Straight Poured into These Jeans" certainly suggested the Man Without Fear will show up soon.
