In today's episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, we learned that Pug is a bona fide sneakerhead. He needed Nikki's help to get his hands on a couple of pairs of Iron Man Threes ("one to rock and one to stock), and the show's credits confirm his quest was successful.
We're not 100% sure whether those animated sequences are meant to be canon, but if you've been paying close attention, then you'll notice they often continue the story in various ways.
Today, for example, we saw Jennifer Walters' cousin Ched selling the She-Hulk cosmetic products released by Titana and "signed" by his sensational family member. As for Pug, it turns out he got those highly coveted Iron Man Threes, though it's what we see in the background that's been generating the most attention on social media.
Along with nods to heroes like Captain America, Doctor Strange, and Spider-Man, we see sneakers adorned with designs that are quite clearly based on Deadpool, The Thing, Cyclops, and possibly even Nova. None of those characters have made their MCU debuts yet, and while it would probably be foolish to put too much stock into these references, we're definitely intrigued.
Something like this wouldn't slip by Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige unnoticed, and even though we're sure this is meant as a bit of fun, we can't help but wonder if one or more of these characters could make a cameo appearance in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
Will The Hulk run into Nova in outer space? Will the rumours about The Thing showing up be proven correct? Only time will tell on that front, though we'd recommend not getting your hopes up as that could lead to disappointment. On the plus side, Daredevil is definitely on the way!
