WandaVision's early sitcom episodes were shot in black and white, but that caused some complications when it came to portraying Vision's synthezoid appearance.
We've heard in past interviews that actor Paul Bettany had to don blue face paint so he would look right on camera, but we had just assumed he'd be made up as a blue version of Vision. Nope.
These behind-the-scenes photos from today's Assembled: The Making of WandaVision show that the actor's face had to be painted entirely blue with tracking dots covering his face.
It's a little weird to look at, that's for sure, but the entire documentary is a must-watch, especially as it sheds a lot of light on how Marvel Studios went about making perhaps its most unique series to date.
