When Wanda Maximoff decided to embrace her destiny by becoming the Scarlet Witch, the hierarchy of power in the Marvel Cinematic Universe changed forever. More powerful than even the Sorcerer Supreme, this former Avenger looks set to turn reality itself on its head in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness this May.
It's now been a year since WandaVision wrapped up on Disney+, and to mark the occasion, Marvel Studios concept artist Andy Park has shared some spellbinding new concept art.
"I had the honor of designing [Scarlet Witch's] final look that you saw," Park explains in the Instagram post below, "but as a lot of you know my job as a character designer is to do many different versions [and] possibilities for the director & producers to choose from. Here is an alternate earlier version I came up with during preproduction."
He added that, "I like the final one that you saw in the show the best out of all the versions I did."
As great as the costume we got was, this take on the Scarlet Witch is undeniably awesome. It's worth noting that the "Art of" book for WandaVision has started appearing in bookstores, and that's obviously going to feature even more unseen designs. As for Wanda, her story will continue in the Doctor Strange sequel, while a solo series for the Avenger was also recently rumoured.
