WANDAVISION: This Week's Episode Drops One Of Its Biggest Surprises Yet; Here's a SPOILER-Filled First Look

As you might expect, this week's episode of WandaVision featured even more big surprises, and a reveal which is sure to get everyone talking. You can take a look at that here, but be warned of spoilers...

Well, it turns out "it's been Agatha all along" (good luck getting that out of your head today).

We'll be bringing our full recap to you soon, but this week's episode of WandaVision ended with Wanda Maximoff heading into Agnes' basement looking for Tommy and Billy. Once there, she discovered that the decrepit subterranean level of the nosy neighbour's house contained a lot of magical artefacts, including a very powerful book which could quite easily be the Darkhold.

That was certainly an interesting tease, but Agnes revealing herself as Agatha Harkness was the biggest reveal...even if it is one we've all been expecting! Of course, Marvel Studios knows that, so chances are there's a lot more to this villainous witch (and she's definitely evil) than meets the eye.

Like the Scarlet Witch, Harkness has powers, but hers are depicted with purple energy rather than red. Agatha even takes control of Wanda's mind to show her that she's been pulling the strings and messing things up all along, including bringing Pietro back (we'll have a lot more to share on him soon).

You might also notice that when she lands in Westview, Agatha is rocking a pretty crazy looking costume! We'll hopefully see that outfit in full in the weeks to come, but Kathryn Hahn is doing some amazing work here, and could be putting herself on the map as one of the MCU's best baddies.

What does she want with Westview? Is she working for Nightmare of Mephisto? We have a lot of questions, but this was one hell of a reveal in this week's WandaVision, don't you think?

Holy [frick]... even that we all suspected Agnes was Agatha, it still hit me hard with that reveal. The way the frame started to slowly widen as Wanda began to realise the truth, the little underground witch alchemy lair. The way she taunts Wanda as well, damn...

Also did anyone notice the Devil worshipping stuff all over her lair? On one of the stone pillars, you can see the same devils face design that was on wallpaper from that poster a few weeks back. There was also a Satan’s goat head on the wall, the hexagon shapes resembling the Hex with what I think (Google) Satanic Symbols that represent to summon something? Perhaps Agnes is planing to sacrifice the twins?

I’m also hoping we still see this mysterious air space engineer Monica was referencing to? I was assuming he was going to be the one to hand the rover over to Monica? And damnnnn Monica getting a taste of her hidden powers! Is it next week yet?

@Joshd2212 - It’s hilarious, I watched this with my girlfriend who has no idea who Agatha is. And she watched the whole thing with her taking the twins, having a creepy lair, pulling the strings and manipulating Wanda - but it wasn’t until Agatha admitted to killing the damn dog that she realised Agatha was a villain.

It was a nice way of the writers to let the general audience who aren’t aware of the CB characters know that Agatha isn’t a good witch.

God Damn Agents of Shield easteregg - the Tahiti doll that Daisy had in her van in the first few episodes and her father also had one!

What If ..... the surprise guest star is not huge in terms of MCU star power / Actor, but instead someone from Agents of Shield. This idea not feeling so out of the box after that Easter egg to the show. The huge reveal could be that A.O.S. is now officially canon - don't at me, a man can dream lol

I hate the "Please Stand By" screen.... so much.
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 2/19/2021, 1:15 AM
@MarDCel - it’s really the villain of the series

hummingbird68 - 2/19/2021, 1:42 AM
@MarDCel - BUT did you watch the after credits scene and ignore the PLEASE STAND BY this time?
MarDCel
MarDCel - 2/19/2021, 10:50 AM
@hummingbird68 - I always skim forward to see if there's a credit scene. It finally paid off this time.

Was that military lady Monica's Contact?
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 2/19/2021, 1:16 AM
@Gandressmex - I don’t think so. Pretty lame not to reveal it but it didn’t seem like it
Kurne
Kurne - 2/19/2021, 1:19 AM
@MyCoolYoung - Didn't she say "my guy is almost here" last episode? Hopefully that wasn't it. Would be pretty underwhelming considering the lingering shots whenever she referenced it.
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 2/19/2021, 1:21 AM
@Kurne - yup that’s why I don’t think it was that person yet. Some leaks said the person would be revealed in episode 8 but we’ll see. I was hoping we got something this episode

@MyCoolYoung - Is there any reason, beyond fan site speculation, to assume "The Engineer Monica Knows" is anything other than a person in SWORD who gave her the equipment she tried to use to break the Hex? It's one of those things where if this had been released all at once, or people who will watch this in the future and binge it, will have no idea how big it was between episodes.
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 2/19/2021, 2:07 AM
@DalekCraigWasson - Yes. The way they’re building it up but also I believe Tenoyah says “I can’t wait for y’all to find out who it is” or something along those lines

Damn IT. This episode felt like such a cock tease and like, I'm ready to get down. Enough let's [frick]ing go already

Was that the darkhold? I’m sure we have some more twist, I still don’t think Agatha is working alone or she’s trying to bring back mephisto or nightmare? It was kind of lame to push out the aerospace engineer another week. This reveal better be massive. Also, is it next week yet?

The Agatha theme was brilliant. It was like a wink, wink type thing because most of us already knew she was Agatha. I loved the purple effects as well.

hummingbird68 - 2/19/2021, 1:16 AM
@MyCoolYoung - I really really really want it to be the Darkhold - it would lead to Chthon's influence.
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 2/19/2021, 1:19 AM
@hummingbird68 - I think it might be. Hopefully its from agents of shield so we can finally get agents of shied confirmation canon for the deniers
aurorsand146
aurorsand146 - 2/19/2021, 1:22 AM
@MyCoolYoung - She def isnt working alone. She was a little too terrified of someone/something in the episode about Monica being in the hex when Wanda was giving birth.
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 2/19/2021, 1:24 AM
@aurorsand146 - it now makes it seems like she was just playing along. Think about how she was “terrified” when vision touched her head

@MyCoolYoung - As soon as I saw that Doll that both Daisy and her father Cal had, I thought to my self, "No way thats a coincidence."

MyCoolYoung - 2/19/2021, 1:40 AM
@hummingbird68 - I didn’t notice a doll. Where was it?
aurorsand146
aurorsand146 - 2/19/2021, 1:43 AM
@MyCoolYoung - Maybe you’re right. I just rewatched Agatha’s theme and saw that she did her magic thing on Herb when that convo took place.
