Say what you will about the DCEU movies themselves but Superman star Henry Cavill couldn't be faulted for his dedciation and commitment to the role of Superman as he spent endless hours in the gym to sculpt the most accurate physical image of Superman we've seen on the screen till date. And while he wowed fans with his physical transformation for Superman, seems like he was only getting started as he's taken to social media to tease possibly an even more buff physique for his other upcoming iconic role - Geralt of Rivia.

The Telegraph in an interview says "Cavill will drag his eight-pack back to the screen" in a "role that will require him to pump his body up to CGI levels of muscularity." But Cavill as you can see from the pictures is stacked, yoked and ready saying, "I enjoy the physical challenge. I am lucky enough to have the genetics that result in quick changes - I can get really quite big if I set my mind to it." Cavill clearly indicates where he's drawing inspiration from for his ultra-muscular look - from iconic Mr. Olympia champions like Phil Heath whose poster can seen be on Cavill's gym wall.

How do you think Cavill's portrayal of the character is shaping up? And will he be able to top his performance as Superman?

The journey continues. Thank you to Mr Dave Rienzi for being such a wonderful guide. My physical journey over the years has been an interesting one, with plenty of pit falls and plenty of moments of reward. I've been reflecting on them a lot recently and I've been very fortunate to work with some fantastic minds. I'm thankful to them all. Recently I've been exploring some of the big players in bodybuilding, both from the past and the present. It's absolutely fascinating to see what they put themselves through, the drive and mental strength required to get to such a place physically. Phil Heath in particular has caught my eye not only for his achievements but also for his genuinely humble and informative approach to his messaging. All this while being a 7x Mr Olympia. If you haven't checked out his page it's worth a peek. @DaveRienzi @PhilHeath #GymStuff

@Forthas - Sorry, but Cavill was never given the chance to be the greatest Superman. Could he have been? Sure but the movies and scripts he was attached too were such embarrassments or duds, we'll never know.

Dude was born to play Superman. What happened to him is a tragedy. Clearly had passion for the role.

@RageDriver2401 - He most certainly had passion. But got rather bad scripts for all 3 films.

@RageDriver2401 - I think WB could still make a good and successful Superman movie with him that ignored (while not contradicting) Snyder's movies.

They have basically done that with both Wonder Woman and Aquaman, why can't they just do the same with Superman (or Batman if Affleck got his sh*t together).

This is great news.

This means he’ll be pumped up and ready to play Superman after this. Perfect.

@Philip - I don't think he's playing Superman ever again. I think that ship has sailed.

@KingLeonidas - I feel like he will. If the Witcher is a success, WB will give him the money he wants.
If it isn't, Cavill will accept what WB is offering.
KingLeonidas
KingLeonidas - 1/8/2019, 3:53 PM
@Philip - It is more than money. tbh they have simply not done a good job with this Superman. He simply did not connect with audiences in any shape or form. They will want to restart.

The suits at WB were the fools who decided to create a DCEU when the sane thing to do was to film MOS2 and then WW or Green Lantern! Good for Mr. Cavill. Hope the SJW producers don't think he looks too manly for the part.

Anyway is that Tom hardy in the background? Or maybe Tom Bosley

I liked Man of Steel, Batman vs Superman was ok, but he was hardly in Justice League, and I understand why, the minute Superman shows up it's pretty much one punch, and it's movie over.
KingLeonidas
KingLeonidas - 1/8/2019, 3:55 PM
@gremlin22 - I don't think that is the reason he has a cameo in JL. The real reason is they totally redid the movie and that is how it turned out. I have a feeling he had a much bigger role in the original version of Justice League.
gremlin22
gremlin22 - 1/8/2019, 9:56 PM
@KingLeonidas - Yea, I heard that he was supposed to be evil, under some kind of mind control, or something like that.
