We're now less than 24 hours away from the premiere of The Book of Boba Fett on Disney+, and Lucasfilm has released the first in a series of posters inspired by The Mandalorian spinoff show.
This artwork features the legendary bounty hunter of the title (Temuera Morrison) and his master assassin partner Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) ready to take on anyone who would oppose their takeover of Tatooine's crime syndicate. Shand is also spotlighted in a brief character promo, which you can check out below along with the poster.
Screeners were not made available to critics, most likely in an effort to prevent spoilers from leaking online. We recently learned that the various trailers and teasers have been so vague because the marketing was only allowed to utilize footage from the first half of the season premiere, so it sounds like TBOBF will have plenty of secrets in store.
We're not sure exactly what these surprises will entail, but there have been rumors that The Mandalorian himself, Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal), might drop in for a cameo, and we've heard that Grogu could show up. Early reports also indicated that some of Fett's bounty hunter "pals" such as Dengar, Bossk and maybe even Cad Bane will appear.
It's also been confirmed that we will flash-back to the events of The Return of The Jedi over the course of the seven episode first season, and find out exactly how the iconic mercenary managed to escape the Sarlacc Pit.
Jon Favreau will produce TBOBF along with Rodriguez and Dave Filoni. Steph Green (HBO's Watchmen, The Americans) and Kevin Tancharoen (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) will direct episodes along with Rodriguez, Filoni and Bryce Dallas Howard.
