Jango Fett was the basis for the Clone army that would eventually fall under Emperor Palpatine's control, while his son, Boba, was also a clone created specifically for the bounty hunter. This gave actor Temuera Morrison the chance to play a lot of different characters in the Star Wars Universe, but there are two, in particular, we could one day see him suit up as down the line.
During a recent interview with The Washington Post, Morrison chose his words carefully about his future beyond The Book of Boba Fett, but he does have some ideas about what could come next.
"Well, there are people - I’m thinking of Captain Rex for one. He looks a little like me," the actor teased. "There’s Commander Cody. What happened to those guys? There’s all those clone armies. That could be something fresh and new and exciting."
Obi-Wan Kenobi is rumoured to feature flashbacks to The Clone Wars, so that would be a good place for Morrison to show up as Commander Cody or at least lend his voice to that clone army. As for Captain Rex, fans are desperate to see a live-action take on the character and Ahsoka is obviously a perfect place to pick up with the beloved Star Wars Rebels standout.
Dee Bradley Baker voiced Rex, but Morrison is the obvious choice for who should play him in live action.
We'll see what happens, but there's still a lot of story left to tell in The Book of Boba Fett. After casting Morrison as Jango Fett, George Lucas added his voice to Boba's scenes in the original Star Wars trilogy, and it now appears the Disney-owned Lucasfilm has similarly big plans for the actor.
