OBI-WAN KENOBI Character Posters Spotlight Tala Durith, NED-B, And Darth Vader

Disney+ has shared three new character posters from last week's episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi, spotlighting Indira Varma's Tala Durith, her loader droid NED-B, and, of course, the legendary Darth Vader.

Disney+ (via SFF Gazette) has shared another trio of character posters for Obi-Wan Kenobi, this time spotlighting the debuting heroes and villains who appeared in last Wednesday's intense third episode.

There's Indira Varma's Imperial Officer-turned double-agent Tala Durith, her loading droid (we've since learned that his name is NED-B), and, of course, the legendary - and bloody terrifying - Darth Vader.

The man once known as Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) made quite an impact towards the end of the episode, mercilessly torturing and murdering innocent villagers in an effort to draw Kenobi out of hiding.

As it turns out, this sequence was even more extreme at one point.

"I got pulled back a little bit on that," head writer Joby Harold tells Vanity Fair. "It was so important to define Vader's anger and rage. There's an emotionality to the choices he's making that are a little further than we're used to seeing with Vader. He's pushed a little more than the Vader we know. Obi-Wan isn't the finished article before [the original Star Wars], and we can look at Vader in the same way."

Check out the posters in the thread below, and be sure to drop back tomorrow for our coverage of episode 4.

I wish I could get into this show. It's just not very good. And on top of that, something about the toxic discourse generated this time is extra exhausting.
There's a lot of genuine criticism to lob at Disney but we're still stuck on "dark skin lady in my star wars scawwwy"

Anyone else get annoyed with how human NED-B moved? At least train the person in the suit to move like a robot Disney. 🤷‍♂️

Something about NED-B made me quickly care about him, maybe he reminds me a little in some way to K-2SO.

Darth Vader felt like an actual villain and monster for the first time, killing that child by using the Force to snap his neck and dragging other innocent villagers on camera was like a reminder that this is the same person that pulled out his lightsaber and killed those young, little padawans. They've also been driving home the whole theme of Jedi hunt themselves with their code of honor and morale.

I’ve been really enjoying the show for the most part, and I might be alone in this, but the inquisitor with the big hat is just so bad it distracts me. He’s CONSTANTLY snarling and grimacing and it looks like he’s trying so hard to be evil it’s driving me crazy
