OBI-WAN KENOBI Story Details Reveal Plans For Anakin Skywalker Flashback And New Jedi Character - SPOILERS

Some new story details for Obi-Wan Kenobi have been revealed, and as well as a subplot about a young Jedi, it sounds like Lucasfilm will de-age actor Hayden Christensen for a flashback to The Clone Wars...

SFFGazette.com recently told you about plans for Obi-Wan Kenobi to introduce a young Jedi called Nari who had been searching for the former Jedi Master since shortly after the events of Order 66. Now, Making Star Wars reveals more details, including the fact that he does eventually find "Ben" on Tatooine.

Pursued by Sith Inquisitors, the former Padawan confronts Obi-Wan and attempts to convince him to start a new Jedi Order. The hero is having none of it, though, and tells Nari that if he hopes to survive, he should bury his lightsaber in the sand. The war was lost and the Jedi are no more; this leaves the young man dejected, and he moves on, leaving "Ben" alone.

When Obi-Wan is later forced to leave the planet in an effort to rescue Princess Leia, he sees something in the distance at the Tatooine spaceport: Nari's body, put on display by the Inquisitors to send a message. With that, the fallen hero realises he's let another young Jedi down.

The site also mentions that we'll see a de-aged Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker in a flashback that "reminds us of the consequence of [Obi-Wan Kenobi's] failures."

These spoilers likely come from very early in Obi-Wan Kenobi, and we're definitely intrigued to see how things play out from here. We'd bet on those flashbacks revisiting the events of The Clone Wars, though Christensen will, of course, be bringing Darth Vader to life in this story's setting as well.

Obi-Wan Kenobi will premiere on Disney+ on May 25.

If the the quality of the show can match Mando and BoBF eps 5 & 6, then it has all the right ingredients to be the best piece of Star Wars entertainment put to screen. Filoni and Favreau not being involved is a slight concern though.

Still holding out for a potential Revan & Bastila trilogy or series. I know a lot want Keanu as Revan, but I think he may be too old. Ideally someone around thirty. I may be a bit bias, but Hailee Steinfeld would make a great Bastila.

I pray to whatever God there is, or will ever be. From the God of Thunder to the God of Mischief, God Of War... Even U-God from Wu-Tang. Please make sure they don't screw this one up. I liked most of Mando, Boba had some cool stuff, Bad Batch was fine so I'm not too worried, but still...

Are we ever gonna get anything taking place after the sequel trilogy? Lol it seems like they don't wanna tread anywhere that hasn't already been previously explored.

Some post prequel Star Wars plots rely on characters beliefs that the Jedi could defeat the Emperor and the Empire. And the idea that characters would think that makes zero sense.

During the Jedi prime, two Jedi couldn't defeat even two Super Battle Droids. Hundreds of Jedi fought poorly against a small army of battle droids. General Grievous easily killed Jedi masters. It only took a couple Clone Troopers to kill a Jedi. One fully trained Jedi was helpless VS Jango Fett with a blaster. Other bounty hunters killed Jedi with ease. The Jedi were hopelessly stupid and naïve. They had no common sense ability to see obvious truths unless the Force spoon fed truths to them.

Why would any Star Wars character after Order 66 & the destruction of the Jedi order, think the Jedi were badasses who were a threat to the Empire? And unless Yoda and Kenobi thought Luke was literally going to become Superman, it was absolutely stupid of them to think Luke could kill the Emperor.

The flipside is that it was equally dumb for the Emperor to even consider Jedi a threat after he beat them.

The Jedi were chokers. They were frauds. Thousands of Jedi couldn't even defeat a few Marvel or DC super heroes.
