In "Rumor Mill," we share the hard to buy rumours that don't come from reliable sources like the trades, but are still more believable (just) than what you might find on Reddit.
Originally introduced as a member of Death Watch in The Clone Wars, Bo-Katan Kryze would be redeemed somewhat in Star Wars Rebels when she was deemed worthy of wielding the Darksaber. That weapon is now in the possession of Moff Gideon, so it made sense when we learned that Katee Sakhoff had signed up to play a live-action version of the character in The Mandalorian.
Yesterday, a rumour started doing the rounds that Disney+ is moving forward with a Cara Dune spinoff series via LRM Online, and Kessel Run Transmissions has now weighed in.
They're claiming that the plan is for Sackhoff to play Kryze in the series, making this a female-led team-up which you have to believe would be a lot of fun. It sounds like the two women really hit it off while shooting season two of The Mandalorian, hence why this spinoff is now in the works.
It's important to note that nothing has been officially announced at this stage, and this is just a rumour. However, there's definitely something exciting about the prospect of this "team-up," and a lot of directions the characters could be taken in. We don't know when this unnamed series would be set, but it would presumably be after the events of The Mandalorian's second season.
We'll keep you updated!
