In The Mandalorian's season 3 finale, Grogu was officially adopted by Din Djarin and became Din Grogu. He is now the bounty hunter's son and apprentice, and the duo look set to continue The Child's training so he can eventually follow "The Way."
Given Grogu's lifespan, he'll long outlive his father and there could still be a good 50 to 100 years before the former Jedi Youngling is an adult.
The upcoming Star Wars movie revolving around Daisy Ridley's Rey - set 15 years after The Rise of Skywalker - would be an ideal place for us to catch up with an older Grogu, and some incredible new artwork (first shared on SFFGazette.com) that imagines what he could eventually look like.
There are a variety of unofficial designs here, with and without a helmet, and some which have him wielding Yoda's lightsaber or the Darksaber which, unfortunately, has been destroyed by Moff Gideon. The prevailing theory among fans is that Grogu will be the one to tame the Mythosaur, so one of those helmet designs is particularly fitting.
Something tells us Lucasfilm will be telling stories with Grogu for years to come, anyway, and we're sure his story will play out over the course of several TV shows and movies.
Before we get to Grogu's adulthood, we need to hear him speak his first words and learn what happened next after Jedi Kelleran Beq rescued him from the Jedi Temple on the night of Order 66. That's a story we're bound to see play out in The Mandalorian's planned fourth season.
