Deadline has now confirmed recent reports that Michael Biehn, perhaps best known for his role as Kyle Reese in The Terminator, will star in season two of The Mandalorian. However, with that comes the news that a familiar face from the Disney+ TV show's first season will also make an appearance!
According to the trade, comedian Bill Burr will reprise the role of Mayfield after last being seen in "Chapter Six: The Prisoner." The former Imperial sharpshooter turned mercenary betrayed the Mandalorian when they were tasked with freeing a prisoner from a New Republic transport, but both he and his crew will seemingly escape from where the hero left them to seek revenge.
As for Biehn, the trade states that he's a bounty hunter acquaintance of the show's titular hero.
Season two of The Mandalorian is certainly assembling an impressive cast ahead of its return to Disney+, especially following the news that Rosario Dawson is set to play a live-action Ashoka Tano.
Little is known about the series right now, but it's expected to debut on the streaming service this fall. With a lot of lingering questions remaining from that first batch of episodes, the hope is that those will be addressed here, particularly in regards to what the deal is with The Child anyway.
