THE MANDALORIAN: [SPOILER] Comments On Their Shocking STAR WARS Return; "[It's] Good To Be Back"

This Wednesday's episode of The Mandalorian featured the return of a familiar Star Wars actor from the franchise's past in a new role, and they've now broken their silence on that comeback. Check it out!

In this week's episode of The Mandalorian, titled "The Foundling," we finally learned more about what happened to Grogu on the night of Order 66. Fans have previously speculated that everyone from Anakin Skywalker to Mace Windu saved The Child, but in a cameo we definitely didn't see coming, we learned it was, in fact, Jedi Master Kelleran Beq.

Played by Jar Jar Binks actor Ahmed Best, Beq - who first appeared on the Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge game show - proved himself a lightsaber-wielding badass, giving The Phantom Menace star some measure of redemption.

After all, Best unfairly received a lot of hate from "fans" for his role in the Star Wars prequels, so making him the Jedi who saved Grogu...well, that's a fantastic move on Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni's part. Now, the actor has broken his silence in an emotional Instagram post (via SFFGazette.com).

"Gratitude! Good to be back," Best says. "There is so much to say and share. It's going to take a couple of days. But, for now, I’ll just say thank you to all that have held me up and made me better."

There's clearly plenty of story left to tell with Kelleran and Grogu, especially when decades actually passed between the events of Revenge of the Sith and the fateful day Din Djarin first encountered The Child in The Mandalorian's first episode.

Throughout season 3, there have been strong indications that Grogu will soon start talking - his attempt to say "This is The Way" last week melted all our hearts - so he may eventually be able to shed more light on what happened.

However, we know there are gaps in his memory, so it could be a while before the next part of this flashback is revealed.

You can read Best's social media post about his Star Wars return below.

And here I was only joking that they would troll
Us by having Jar Jar save Baby Yoda.

@TyrantBossMedia - Honestly would have loved it if it was Jar Jar AND his Jedi character. I would have loved to have seen Jar Jar pick up Grogus whole egg and shout "Mesa gots em!" and have Jar Jar bumble and run along with the Egg Pod as Kelleram deflects blaster fire and mows down troopers.

@BlackStar25 - Yes, I noticed that too. So will they take him to Naboo and hide him in the Gungan City.

And now Grogu is being mentored by the Armorer woman and Bo Katan had not only saved The Mandalorian twice but led the mission in Episode 3.

Also, Bo understands Grogu,

And with Pascal doing The Last of Us Lucasfilm can’t wait another two years for the next season.

Why do I get this strange feeling that they are going to get rid of Pedro Pascal after this season and the new Mandalorian will be Bo Katan.

The Womandalorian.

But when will he tell us that he signed on in episode 1 to play DARTH Jar Jar and Lucas bailed on him. C'mon man, let the truth be known!

Did Padme send that ship with the Naboo soldiers to go help the temple? She did see the temple burning and knew they were in some sort of trouble it seems..
