Earlier this year, The Mandalorian star Giancarlo Esposito dropped some big hints that we'll see Moff Gideon's Star Destroyer in season two when he said that the villain will be shown in charge of "a larger vehicle, hint-hint." However, it seems that ship won't be quite what we expected.
io9 has shared a trading card from the Star Wars Card Trader "The Mandalorian Static Series 2" set, and rather than a traditional Imperial Star Destroyer, it looks like Gideon will be in charge of an Arquitens class ship. Those ships are most commonly associated with The Clone Wars, and while they were once used primarily by the Jedi, the Empire later made use of Arquitens-class command cruisers.
Why Gideon would have one of these remains to be seen, but he likely had some involvement in the Clone Wars and may have a serious interest in cloning if his pursuit of The Child is any indication.
It's also possible that the fall of the Empire means Gideon has been forced to repurpose some old tech, though his Stormtroopers and TIE Fighter were in pristine condition during The Mandalorian's first season. Regardless, we'll hopefully get some more answers soon, though the villain has yet to appear in season two.

Many fans believed that this episode of The Mandalorian would see Din Djarin head to Hoth, but with Tatooine factoring into three episodes now, it's definitely time to visit some new locations. That X-Wing chase was a thrill, though, as were those terrifying spider-like creatures from the final act.
There were a lot of quirky moments in this episode, but did you notice that both the frog-like passenger and Dr. Mandible were both spotted in the Mos Eisley cantina during season one? That's a nice bit of foreshadowing, and likely a result of both seasons essentially being shot back-to-back.
"The Passenger" didn't do much to move the story along, though there was a lot to like about what was on offer. It addressed some lingering plot threads from season one (another clash with the New Republic is now unlikely), and most definitely showed a different side to The Child and his appetite.
It's been confirmed that these spiders were a newly created race for The Mandalorian, despite some similarities to the creatures shown in Star Wars Rebels and past Expanded Universe stories. Of course, a big question for many fans after this episode is how many more times can Din Djarin wreck his ship?
In some ways, it was a little disappointing seeing the New Republic swoop in to get Djarin and company out of a jam, especially when it arguably would have been "cooler" had Boba Fett or Ahsoka Tano saved the day! Regardless, it was great to see these guys in action, and it proved they have better aim than Stormtroopers!
