Former 'Supergirl' Laura Vandervoort Sprouts Fur & Fangs In First Trailer For BITTEN

The lovely former Smallville alum will star in the new SyFy show, playing "the only female werewolf in existence". We don't expect TOO much from this, but the trailer at least is pretty slick and sexy.

The series follows Elena as she attempts to escape a world she never wanted to be part of (as well as the man who turned her into a werewolf), abandoning her pack and taking refuge in a new city, where she works as a photographer and hides her werewolf existence from her boyfriend. When bodies begin turning up in her pack's backyard, she finds herself back at Stonehaven, the werewolves' ancestral domain, where she will stop at nothing to defend her pack.

Bitten is based on a novel written by Kelley Armstrong, and is the first part of her Women of the Otherworld series. The 13-part series will air sometime in 2014.

Put a couple of mentions to the Avengers stating that they exist in the same universe and people would storm to see it.

We need quality shows people!!!!

What I want in my TV is action, car chases, kung-fu and a complicate plot to steal a national identity document!!!!

Who is with me?

Why can't the werewolves look like these:

Instead of just big wolves. :(

Haha!

@ Beto

SMH! You know what, I would not put it pass DC/WB to actually try that in a live action movie!

Should have pushed the fact that someone is turning killers into werewolves and made the soap opera stuff secondary but I guess sex sells. I'll check it out if it is made by the same people who make Lost Girl.

SyFy?! It must be on HBO, a lot of blood&meat + nudity from Supergirl) On SyFy it's not interesting to watch about werewolfs...

@chujong I agree 100%. That show was awesome.

That was my biggest problem with Twilight...

the regular big wolf werewolves.

ive always thought she was very beautiful..the show seems ok..ill check it out..i just wish that werewolves would go back to being wolfmen type creatures instead of looking like jacked up dogs and wolves..

She's best as Supergirl. This frankly looks primed to fail. But I'll still give it the benefit of a doubt. See what the pilot looks like anyway.

I agree with chujong. I like my werewolves looking somewhat humanoid instead of a big wolf. If they are going to do a remake, they need to do one of the Werewolf series from the 80's

This looks hot. Laura Vandervoort has the look.

But her hair seems a little frilly for a werewolf, and she seems kind of soft spoken. Also her clothes seem a little too frilly.

The title 'Bitten' makes it sound like a vampire TV show. Maybe they're trying to attract vampire fans?

Laura Vandervoort could sink her fangs into me any time. ;)

@Pooh It does sound like it, but when a person is bitten or scratched by a werewolf they gain the ability to transform into one.

I stopped watching Syfy after Battle Star Galactica ended, and stopped watching CW after Smallville ended. if they want people to come back to tv (the internent is becoming increasingly used for entertainment these days) they got to come up with some new ideas.
