RUMOR: Here's How Tom Holland's Peter Parker Could Fit Into Sony's VENOM Movie
There have been rumours for a while now that Tom Holland's Peter Parker will make some sort of cameo appearance in Venom but a new report sheds some light on how the character might factor into the movie.
We've been hearing for a while now that Venom will feature an appearance from Tom Hardy's Peter Parker despite the fact that the movie reportedly isn't set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After all, despite Marvel's involvement with Spider-Man these days, Sony still owns the character and the studio can do whatever they please with him. So, how will he potentially factor into this upcoming spinoff?
According to Screen Rant, they've heard that a scene was filmed inside an Atlanta building doubling as the Life Foundation featuring Riz Ahmed's Carlton Drake leading a field trip. While their source didn't see Tom Holland on set, the site believes that this could be where Peter will show up (Venom is set in San Francisco but the youngster's class travelled to Washington in Spider-Man: Homecoming).
The trailer for Venom made it clear that Eddie Brock doesn't gain the symbiote the same way he did in the comic books and that Spider-Man isn't involved with his origin story in any way. With that in mind, this cameo would be absolutely pointless but pretty much what fans have come to expect from producers like Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach. What do you guys think?
