A fan has put together a pretty cool trailer that is sure to build hype for the upcoming sequel to last year’s surprise hit, Venom. It features Woody Harrelson’s Carnage as the primary antagonist, as well as a surprise cameo from none other than Tom Holland’s beloved take on the symbiote's adversary, Spider-Man.

The trailer follows the backstory of Cletus Kasady, showing us that he's had murderous proclivities since childhood. In present day he is a notorious killer, who is currently serving life in prison. The post-credits scene where Eddie Brock visits Kasady is revisited, and the villian promises to come after him. We then witness the birth of Carnage when Cletus is transferred to another facility for the criminally insane.

The footage uses clips from various films such as Spider-Man, Happy Death Day and Watchmen to craft a neat trailer that could well give fans a taste of what’s to come.

What do you think? Are you looking forward to Venom 2? Sound off in the comments bel

Every time someone does this, Sony wonders that bit more if dumping the MCU for Holland meets Venom would be worth it.

Not dissing the trailer but knowing that Sony has a plan for this and more Venom makes you want to kick Avi Arad in the balls.

Pretty decent job of editing, but I think watching this highlights how unsatisfying it would be to see Peter come into this conflict late with no history with Eddie or personal connection to what’s going on rather than having it all spin out from his life like it would in a proper adaptation of the symbiote story.

@ThunderKat - As the JLA characters, I'd have the DCAMU voice actors come back(Jason O'Mara as Batman, Jerry O'Connell as Superman, Rosario Dawson as Wonder Woman, Christopher Gorham as Barry Allen/Flash) for this project.

I wish I wish I wish Disney would just flat out buy the rights to Spider-Man from Sony and bring all Marvel properties under one Marvel roof.
