The first trailer has been released for Venom: Let There Be Carnage, and this is bound to get fans talking.
If the first movie's humour wasn't to your liking, you may want to skip the opening and closing moments of this sneak peek, but seeing as we finally get to watch Carnage in live-action here, you'll probably do that anyway! He looks incredible, and best of all, Woody Harrelson has ditched the wig!
We'll delve into this one a little later, but Naomie Harris' Shriek can also be seen here, while Venom himself...well, he looks pretty much the same as last time, so there's no classic chest logo (yet).
"Tom Hardy returns to the big screen as the lethal protector Venom, one of Marvel's greatest and most complex characters," reads a brief synopsis. "Directed by Andy Serkis, the film also stars Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris and Woody Harrelson, in the role of the villain Cletus Kasady/Carnage."
That doesn't give us a whole lot to go on, but neither does the trailer!
Cletus is clearly being investigated by the cops for a series of unsolved cases, and it's when he's about to be executed that Carnage appears to make his presence felt. That's a slight departure from the comic books, but not one that's likely to bother too many fans in the grand scheme of things. Beyond that, we're still not 100% sure what Andy Serkis has planned, but this is an intriguing first look.
