Behind the scenes trailer for Batman: Arkham Asylum

Behind the scenes trailer for Batman: Arkham Asylum

Tired of waiting for this game to finally hit the shelves? Me too. Check out this behind the scenes look at the most anticipated video games of the year Batman: Arkham Asylum.

First the game was suppose to drop in July (for a 100 bucks it was rumored you would receive a nice Batman gift set including a Batarang). Now I am seeing that the release date got pushed up into August. So that stinks, but I am willing to give it a little more time to work out the kinks and make this the best Batman game ever. That's not saying much considering every other Batman game has blew chunks while licking the theater floor.

Batman: Arkham Asylum hopefully will change all that, Russ Frushtick over at splashpageMTV is reporting that like Prince of Persia in Batman: Arkham Asylum you cannot die. A Princess helped the Prince out of jams and for Batman if you fall off a ledge while patrolling the bowels of Arkham, the time slows down and you can activate your grappler to get out of some sticky jams. Bring on the game already!

I'll have to disagree with you Jman. I loved Batman Returns on the SNES and i also loved Batman Begins on my PS2. It had a pretty good concept. But Batman Asylum will be hands down the best ever.

superdog: have you heard of Doctor Who? Torchwood is a more adult spin off and is well worth checking out! its on BBC here in the UK. i looked on the US version of Amazon and they sell the DVD boxsets so i guess it must have been on TV in the states at some point. Its filmed in Cardiff (the capital of Wales which is about 30mins from where i live)

superdog: its definitely worth having a look at (im pretty sure you could watch it on the net - try surfthechannel.com) you dont get a lot of good UK Tv shows like this in comparison to US dramas etc but it is a really goo tv show (especially season 2) normally it has a 13 episode season but theres a special 5 parter on this week from Mon-Fri called Torchwood: Children of Earth which has so far also been pretty good (though the show was better as a regular 13 episode season rather than one long story over 5 days) anyway, take a look when you get a chance!

i will. do you guys get our shows at the same time we do? i got the impression you guys were a few seasons behind but you seem to be current on the finales etc....
JoshWilding
JoshWilding - 7/9/2009, 4:47 PM
supedog: it varies. i watch all my favourite US TV shows on the internet mainly because there can sometimes be a huge difference in when they are shown - a few examples are Smallville and Supernatural which are both a good few months behind, Scrubs Season 8 hasnt even been on here yet even though it finished in the states a couple of months ago, 24 is on only a week after the US and House is currently only about 6 episodes into Season 5 whereas the season finale was on a couple of months back in the states. There are some shows that are still seasons behind though. thats why i watch all these shows on the net so i can be up to date with them rather than week or months behind! its the DVDs that are the most annoying though - even though the Smallville finale has now been on here its not out on DVD until October whereas i heard that its released in the US next month!

josh@ thats what i thought. i was big into buffy and angel when they were on and whever i was on website post or etc...they always seemed to be way behing in the episodes. sometimes even whole seasons behind. thank god for the internet. we dont get shit for uk shows here. usually they just redo them american style alah the office.

superdog: you arent missing out on a lot with UK shows as in all honesty they just cant compete with shows like the ones i mentioned above-there are some really great ones you do miss out on though (like Torchwood i guess, lol!) i know what you mean about them re making UK tv shows - Little Britain USA was absolute garbage compared to the original first few seasons. and yeah, thank god for the internet-im unbelievably grateful to whoever uploads all these TV shows on to the websites i use, lol!

GUNSMITH: that was awesome, yeah - it washim coming back from being blown up that shocked me most! however, im still pissed with how they killed off those two main character last season (who i wont name for anyone who hasnt watched it yet)

well...as you could guess...Ghostbusters was the "most anticipated" for me. but both games had/have a lot riding on them, so it's definitely debatable.

Here's to having 2 great games this summer!
Shaman
Shaman - 7/9/2009, 7:42 PM
Josh- Yes, the Batmobile sequences kinda sucked ass BUT the rest of the game offered kick ass stages complete with gripping athmosphere, great fighting controls and not to mention my very favorite aspects in video game history... STEALTH!!!!! YES, stealth moves to instill fear in your oponents!!! That was ground breaking!!! And from what i've seen of the stealth ability trailer of Arkham Asylum, they IMPROVED them if that' ever possible!!! They seemed to have added much more importance on those abilities which just makes the game that much more IRRESISTIBLE!!! I possibly cannot wait for this :))
