Wait wait wait, "Developed by WB Montreal using the engine created by Rocksteady"

So the people who made Arkham Origins is making the DLC? Pass...

I hear they're really improving upon this one after the negative reception regarding the Red Hood story pack's short length. I hear this one is gonna be FIFTEEN minutes long!

Ben a fleck saw this image and now demands to star in and direct the batgirl v. supergirl spin off.

After seeing how worthless the Rocksteady guys are at writing a plot or making a competent story based DLC, [frick]ing hallelujah they're not working on this at least. It actually has a shot of being good.

Seriously, the Harley & Red Hood packs were utter shit and AK plot is beyond retarded.

This is the first Arkham game I traded in. That's how little I cared for its antics.

I thought AK was pretty awesome. Some of the story could've been better but that's the case with most games.

Could be worse. Barbara could have hooked up with Bruce like in BTAS.

I could write an article about all the ways the story disappointed me. I still like the game…I think, but couldn't they have just brought Paul Dini back?

@LEVITIKUZ

Tbf Bruce didn't know her until she was already an adult in DCAU, like in college. If he knew her from when she was younger then that would've been weird.

@MrMartyMarvel

Because Marvels got him deadlocked on those piece of shit Marvel animated shows. Hell, after the way Origins turned out I'd have been fine if those guys got a shot at writing the plot.

I loved the story of Arkham Knight. It did have problems.

Hush is the biggest problem.
Where exactly did the Arkham Knight get a [frick]ing army
Villains never really teamed up

But still I loved how the Batfamily played a major role in the game. I thought it was better than City's which was just find the cure for more than half the game when Batman went in there to find out what Strange was playing.

I loved that SPOILER....

Jason was the Arkham Knight. He works better as a villain than a hero.

@ekrolo2

It's still weird considering she was with Grayson and yet Bruce steals his adopted son's girl.

I mean think how weird that is.
MrMartyMarvel

But that ending though! Honestly would have preferred if Bruce actually DID die instead of telling everyone he loves to go [frick] themselves in order to protect them…only to come back as Batman several months/years later.

Weird but not as weird as it could've been imo lol.

I loved tim being with Barbara but knight was 9 months after city; he was 16 in city meaning he's 16 or 17 now marrying someone in her mid twenties, which is in most states faced with legal issues because of the implication that there's more going on, and her father is the commissioner of police who's constantly under pressure and being watched by the city council but he's okay with it

@MrMartyMarvel

That finale "level" so to speak where you witness both Batman and Joker's worst fears were beyond epic.

Especially this moment...

@LEVITIKUZ

Well, it goes without saying that that moment was orgasmic! It's just the majority of everything else in the ending I didn't like.

Yeah.....

When they could make Babs and DICK GRAYSON team-up in this.....

No....

They want to make her team-up with [frick]ing Robin/Tim.....

The [frick] is this shit?

@LEVITIKUZ

One of the few good parts of the story, hate basically everything else. The overly grim dark tone, the ubber assholish Batman, way too much Joker, shoe horning in the Batmobile into [frick]ing everything, the game constantly telling you what to do through Batman inner monologuing every 2 minutes...
LEVITIKUZ
LEVITIKUZ - 7/4/2015, 9:03 AM
@ekrolo2

I didn't mind the Batmobile being shoed-in. In fact I didn't think it was that overused. Only time I felt it was was the Deathstroke boss battled. I feel that Rocksteady used the Batmobile too much because this was their final Batman game and they wanted to get the most out of it.

I also loved Joker. His entire characterization was an upgrade from Asylum and City. He was done so awesome. I honestly think this may be Hamill's best Joker ever due to him reacting scenes from Death in the Family and Killing Joke.

And the "overly grim dark tone" fits. I mean Scarecrow is the villain and him, other villains, and the Arkham Knight want to kill the Bat. Were you expecting a bright tone?

Overall I felt that the story was better than City. Content wise isn't as good as City but the story was good.

Would love to see WB/DC touch on that stuff in the movies

Especially, the psychological aspect of Bruce Wayne, and the tole being Batman has taken on him over the years, not physically but psychologically

The Batman/Joker stuff in Arkham Knight was definitely the highlight for me

Would love to see Batfleck going completely insane on screen and just losing it

I think it could happen and we could possibly see the mantle passed

I really hope there are nods to Nightwing and Red Hood in B v S, if Jean-Paul Valley is ever a character in the movies, I'll lose my mind, that would be amazing, and a more Knightfall influenced adaptation

LEVITIKUZ - 7/4/2015, 9:14 AM
@DrKinsolving

Joker and Scarecrow's characterization in this game was [frick]ing epic. I didn't think Joker would be as involved as he was. I mean I knew he may cameo but I didn't expect Hamill to come back and have this big of a role.

Also Noble's Scarecrow was beyond epic for me. It's strange I enjoyed Noble's Scarecrow just as much as Hamill's Joker. I thought Crane was just an epic villain and also how he played on fears of Batman and Gordon without using fear gas was cool. When I say the fears of Batman, I mean kidnapping Barbara and Tim.

But still those 2 were so epic in the game. Best 2 villains in the whole Arkham series. Only wish we could have gotten a Scarecrow fight like we did in Asylum and in the beginning playing as the cop.

Why is the Batgirl DLC developed by WB Games?
MaximusTheMad
MaximusTheMad - 7/4/2015, 9:20 AM
I really hope WB games doesn’t just make Batgirl a palette swap for Catwoman. They did it in Arkham Origins when playable Deathstroke was basically a Robin-clone (staff and all).

I was disappointed to say the least.

@LEVITIKUZ

Yes, Scarecrow rocked. Totally agree about Joker, when he made his first appearance in the game, I was totally on board, it was brilliant how they approached that

I love how all these games take so much history from the comics and the stories, I really hope DCCU (or is it DCEU) does the same

And, they need to give Jason a big role in one of those solo Batman flicks, so many stories to choose from, I really want to see Hush, Court of Owls, Red Hood, and I want to see the Knightfall Saga adapted, it deserves better than TDKRises, I really want to see Wayne lose, and then have a face off with Valley in Wayne manor

But I doubt that will happen for awhile, although, with Affleck being older, it could happen sooner than later and the mantle could be passed. If the mantle is gonna be passed, they should take advantage of that story line

@LEVITIKUZ

I can't really agree on the Batmobile, personally I feel its wholly unnecessary. He can fly in this game for all intents and purposes plus he has a god damn jet he calls with utter ease several times so why even have a tank/car thing at all?

That's like giving Superman or Spider-Man a mandatory vehicle to drive, they don't need it and neither does this Batman. Plus the tank combat & Riddler challenges with it were either annoying or boring.

I was hoping for something else than the generic Batman finale of him facing a bad guy that just spouts the same bullshit of "You bring death and ruin to everyone around!" that's basically been run into the [frick]ing ground the past 5 years.

A better story would've been Batman actually overcoming his flaw of not letting people get close, accepting that he's not alone and starting up Batman INC. Arkham City already broke Batman by putting you in a place constructed solely by virtue of his existence plus killing Talia & Joker.

There was no need to break him even more, instead, the story should've been about Batman building himself up and emerging from this both a better person and crime fighter as a result. But nope, Batman is forced to fake his death (for the 5th [frick]ing time in the last 5 years), will never see any of his friends or allies ever again and probably die a sad, pathetic, lonely piece of shit. What a way to go.

Seriously, am I the only guy who wants Batman to at least go out happy or is everyone such a DCAU dick sucker now they simply have to find a way to Batman Beyond his retirement somehow? Batman's in the same spot as Daredevil was a few years ago, a guy people love to break over and over without properly rebuilding afterward. That's why this story was completely and unnecessarily dark.

I know this is s a barely comprehensible rant but [frick] man, I hate this game that much. Its so generic 2010s Batman it feels like fan-fiction, and not the good kind where the writer put some thought into it. The kind written by a teenager who's so in love with Batman and the angst of Batman he has to put every bullshit recent cliche of his into a singular product.

Hell the seemingly cash grab prequel no one asked for (Origins) turned out to be infinitely better written, more fun to play and actually had three character arcs happen in the span of its plot. That's 3 more in a single game than Rocksteady ever had in their 3 entire games.

And, I want to see the dynamic between Wayne and Grayson, stuff like that, that hasn't been explored on screen, correctly....

Arkham Knight ROCKS
