Last week, Netmarble Games announced a new crossover for their hit mobile title The King of Fighters Allstar. The collaboration will see several characters from Seven Knights, another mobile title from Netmarble, enter the fray.

Seven Knights is the latest Intellectual Property to crossover with The King of Fighters Allstar, following popular game titles such as Tekken 7 and Samurai Shodown. To learn more about the newest event in the mobile fighting game, we looked to Netmarble Games and spoke with Travis Marshall.

Travis chatted to us about the level of detail and research that goes into the video game collaborations, and the amount of time spent immersing himself in the characters and the worlds of the franchises they decided to bring into the fold.

"When I hear of an IP, I want to research everything about it and learn all the characters and the whole world. And every time we get one of these collaborations, I get very excited that I get to dive in and learn about all these things.

And then I want to be able to bring it all out on the live stream so that I can share with people, the deep nitty-gritty of what this franchise is about. So no matter what collaboration we line up, I'm always super excited. And I really just immerse myself in learning about what we're going to be introducing."

Focusing specifically on the Seven Knights crossover for the anniversary of The King of Fighters Allstar, Marshall explained what it is about the game that specifically interested him.

"So this was an IP where in the West, compared to our other ones, I wasn't as necessarily familiar with all the characters. I have been spending this month getting really deep into the lore of Seven Knights, and it's awesome.

I love this franchise. It's about this like a fantasy world where seven different humans were given special powers by the God of destruction, so they are called the seven Knights."

Listen to our full chat with Netmarble Games' Travis Marshall below. We have also included highlights from the current event as well as the trailer for the collaboration.
