TOMB RAIDER: Lara Croft Leaps Into Action On New Total Film Magazine Cover And Awesome Stills

A new batch of images from the upcoming live-action Tomb Raider reboot have been revealed alongside a Total Film magazine cover which makes Alicia Vikander look like she's stepped straight out of the game.

Over the past couple of years, movies like Assassin's Creed and Warcraft have gotten our hopes up that things might finally take a turn for the better with the video game movie genre. That sadly hasn't proved to be the case and now a lot of hopes are being pinned on Tomb Raider to turn things around. Starring Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft, what we've seen from it points to it being a faithful adaptation.

On the magazine cover below, the Oscar-winning actress looks like she's stepped straight out of the video game franchise and the stills tease plenty of epic action to come in the upcoming movie.

Bear in mind that Tomb Raider is being released on March 16th, Flashpoint's original release date!

Whether or not it will live up to expectations is something of a mystery but the early signs are good (then again, they were for the disappointing movies mentioned above). What do you guys think about these images and what we've seen from Tomb Raider so far? Let us know your thoughts below.

I really like the actress but the trailer wasn't very exciting... We'll see but I'm not confident.

My family and I got the trailer in front of Last Jedi, and when it was over I looked at my brother and he was like

I got an Infinity War Trailer during TLJ, and everyone was cheering and clapping. I even heard someone yell “Rest in peace DC.”

The trailer was well put together, but it seems like standard fare. Probably be entertaining and worth at least one viewing, but it probably won't be anything special. But you never know.

Still think Daisy Ridley would have been a better fit.

I don't think even Lara Croft could diffuse this BOMB.

Hope I'm wrong, but this was just a bad idea for a movie..

Honestly as long as she actually enjoys raiding tombs and having in what she's doing and not whimpering all the time being so damn bland this'll be fine.

Cup size don't matter, face is wrong but performance should be imperative.

That being said, I've never liked her as an actress so i have no hope there either.

Add that up with this movie looking horrible = we get an empty theater seat due to me.

If you Pornhub trolls think cup size is the point of Tomb Raider, you're not really TR fans and should get the [frick] out
